  • A Taxi Driver

    1. A Taxi Driver

    Korean Movie - 2017

    10

It has been a while since I have watched a Korean movie, and this one is definitely worth watching. If you can only watch one Korean movie ever again, please let it be this one. I'm very uneducated on Asian history since a small amount is taught in the American education system, but this movie has sparked emotions I didn't even know I could feel. One second I have no clue about the Gwangju Uprising, and now I am crying my eyes out. It's a very inspiring movie as to what's going on in the world currently and makes me want to learn more and subside my ignorance. An amazing 10/10 and briefly looking into the real story this movie was based on makes it all that more memorable and meaningful.

  • A Breeze of Love

    2. A Breeze of Love

    Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes

    7.5

This show was short and sweet, however not something that will be very memorable for me. As I am typing this, I cannot remember all too much of what happened. I think that it was filmed wonderfully and the acting was amazing, especially done by Shin Jeong You. I just think that there was some sort of build up missing to care more for the characters themselves. I felt more attatched to Dongwook rather than Dohyun, and i suppose that's because it is set more in Dongwook's perspective. I don't have many thoughts, but it was a nice watch. Definitely something worth watching if you want something short ant cute.

  • Last Twilight

    3. Last Twilight

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    8.5

Most likely one of my favorite BLs of all time. I love the portrayal of Day's character and his blindness. He was a super complex character and even though I am not blind, I could understand his emotions most of the time. Mohk's subtle actions that showed his care for Day are what really made me fall in love with this series. I personally wished they expanded  the last episode into multiple episodes, but I don't mind the ending even though it felt a little rushed. One of my biggest qualms with this series is the background characters who were blind. You can just tell these actors have sight with the way they would use walking instruments. It just took me out of the series when I saw these scenes. Super picky detail lol!

  • Pit Babe

    4. Pit Babe

    Thai Drama - 2023, 13 episodes

    8.5

Watch this if you liked Kinnporshe. Pooh's acting was cringey at first, but it grew on me. Still wasn't great, but I liked his character. I really loved this one and the two lead's chemistry.

  • Love for Love's Sake

    5. Love for Love's Sake

    Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

    8.0

    1 word: WOONGGI. lol
It was great. Confusing near the end, but the ending was amazing and had great meaning. It definitely made me sit and think about it. Super neat premise that you don't often see in BL. I thought I wouldn't like it because I don't like isekai anime, but it is nothing like an isekai. I would recommend this for BL watchers who want a breath of fresh air in the genre.

  • Minato Shouji Coin Laundry

    6. Minato Shouji Coin Laundry

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    7.5

Cute. Not much to say, but do NOT watch if you hate JDramas that have overdramatic acting. Minato is a character I thoroughly hate because he is far too embarrassed to express his feelings.

  • Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2

    7. Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2

    Japanese Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    6.5

First season was better. Still cute, but Minato is just as annoying. Probably more infuriating in this season. I lowkey watched to see the side couple's progression (Tomoya's acting is great). I HIGHLY hate the ending, but I will not be spoiling it. It is just a trope I despise. Made no sense  to include it near the end, and it felt like they just needed another plot point for the main couple's relationship. Nothing really changes between the main couple. I would just watch the first season and stop there. I would only recommend this season if you want to see the side couple (however they aren't in it all that much).

Despite that said, I still enjoyed the show. Feels like a guilty pleasure kinda show. Definitely not my usual kind of go to.
