Top 10 Recommended Dramas

This drama is my all-time favorite because Lee Sung-Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk have the best chemistry and the drama never fails to lift my spirits. I recommend this to everyone looking for a new drama that is fun, romantic, and emotional while still breaking some of those common k-drama stereotypes. It shows that throughout life you face many trials and tribulations but with the help of your friends and family you can prevail and find yourself. 

I love Strong Woman so much! This drama has its funny and lighthearted moments while still keeping the aspect of mystery and wonder. You really get to see the depths of the main characters and how together they grow and learn to accept themselves and each other. The show is thought-provoking and leaves you yearning for more!

Crash Landing Onto You is the best drama to come out of Netflix. It shows how happiness can change one's entire outlook on life and how to surround yourself with the people who will make you happy. It is such a unique way to outline a drama and progress a relationship between the two main characters. The drama shows how you create your family and really hits you in the feels. I recommend this drama to everyone because it has a stellar cast, a phenomenal storyline, and a great soundtrack. I hope you watch it :)

Vincenzo is honestly one of my all time favorite dramas! It gives you romance, action, suspense and drama all rolled into one show. It’s honestly one of those shows where all of the characters are played so well that you truly fall in love with them while watching. Im not going to lie, it is pretty dark and has a lot of violence but that’s what drew me in. The overall concept was so unique and the main leads really stole the show. I recommend this drama to people who like mob stories but also family stores, people who like the enimies to lovers trip but with a few twists along the way. I recommend this show to everyone because it honestly has something for everyone! I hope you enjoy when you watch! 

Sweet Home is one of the best dramas I have ever seen. It isn’t full of romance nor is it light and breezy like a lot of the others on this list; but it is full of mystery, gore, and monsters! The cast is immaculate and put their all into their roles which makes the drama 10x better.  By the end of the drama (despite the blood,gore, and creepy monsters) you feel connected to the characters and can’t wait to see what comes next! 

This drama is not your typical best friends to lovers drama, this one includes finding your dreams, discovering yourself, familial issues, and even more. I love this drama specifically because of the relationship between Ae-Ra and Dong-Man, it has such a beautiful progression that makes you want to keep watching to see how it grows. Along with the romance aspect, there is the overall aspect of friendship and how long term relationships can shift and change. This drama was really done very well and I rewatch it all the time

This is arguably one of my favorite dramas of 2020, it shows how you can make your family and how our experiences do not define us. The three main characters are so dynamic and fun that you never want to stop watching and their stories are even more captivating. The drama does a great job of giving each story arch their own time and develops the story with so much flow. This is the type of drama you can binge watch and still want more of, it gives you those familial vibes, while still giving the viewer the romantic and friendship aspect that dramas need. 

This is my favorite drama with supernatural elements, it gives the viewer that horror aspect with a comedic twist that is so captivating. You really have to watch the drama to experience its full power because it really keeps your eyes glued to the screen. The writers for the show really made the romance aspect very creative and made Kim So-Hyun's character arc very dynamic and fun. 

There really is no drama like Its Okay to Not Be Okay. Watching the drama you see so many elements that bring awareness to mental illness while the show still keeps the common themes of romance and character growth. I would have to say that my favorite aspect of the show is the relationship between the three main characters, they had so much love for each other and really highlighted how they grew into their own little family. I would have to say that this drama was amazingly written and brings a smile to my face every time I think about the main characters. 

School 2017 is my favorite out of all of the teenage romance dramas that have been made. It has a mysterious aspect, a coming of age aspect, and really shows the mentality one has when preparing for exams and college. The romance in the show is very innocent and that makes the show even better because the characters focus on things outside their relationship while still showing each other affection. The entire main cast has developed and complex storylines that make you have various opinions that change and shift as you watch the show :) 

Honorable Mention: 

Dinner Mate is honestly an all-around sweet drama about forgetting old romances and gaining new ones. It has so many elements of personal growth and following your dreams and aspirations despite what others tell you. The main characters have such a great relationship starting at the beginning of the show.
