ep 5-8 

it got boring

great cast, directing, editing and an engaging story. ridiculous it didn't get any oscar noms 

i liked the slow burn in this and the development of their relationship, i liked both the ml and fl on their own and together they made for a healthy, mutually supportive and such a sweet relationship. i skipped a lot of the 2nd ml and corporate-PV-talk scenes lol. 

prob the most gore i've seen in a highschool show. ep6 was really good and well acted and the type of dark vibe i wish the rest of the show was, rest of it was mid.

changzheng couple are too buzzy and i wish the second half had more of them together cuz they were the best part of the show. lin'an arc was so precious <//3 would've loved a whole show of just that. zlh as yan zheng was such a cutie and he was soooo hot as marquis and changyu is one of my fav characters ever. she was so strong (physically and personality wise) and so silly and cute at the same time i fell in love with her instantly (i get u xie zheng)

ep 12, 19, 20 made me cryyy i got too into it. it felt so real at times and i loved it because of that. great acting by zlh and zjm. i LOVEE angsty romances with happy endings and this delivered. i would've loved a few more episodes of getting to see their relationship as adults as i loved seeing it in highschool. the highschool romance scenes were so good!! did such a good job of showing the innocence of their crushes on each other (the cheerleading episode made me smile so much it was so cute and the YOU ARE MY HERO). the angst made me cry a lot which shows that it was so well done. jiang qiaoxi is so precious to me, yes i don't agree with what he did but i understand him, how he grew up thinking he is not worthy of love if he is not successful, being forcibly isolated by his parents and neglected to the point he got used to dealing with his struggles by himself, the shame of living a life that he deems pathetic and not wanting to drag someone he loves down with him all of these things are very real and made sense for how he acted given his upbringing and having parents as terrible as he had lol. i admired how yingtao felt so deeply for him, stayed determined in her love even as other ppl told her she should move on, she instead focused on how hurt he must be to push her away when he clearly loves her. if yall can love sang yan it doesnt make sense to think of her as pathetic b/c god forbid a girl yearns?? the angst was worth it in the end because they ended up together and happy <3
