First watch of the year is a rewatch, after reading the manhwa! same rating as before, STILL SO GOOD.

First rewatch made me really appreciate an important theme with Kieta Hatsukoi, is about finding the right people as a queer person, a family you choose who supports you, doesn't judge you because you're different, and defends you.

Bumping it up to 9 stars baby!!!

Dropped. Same old GMM bullshit, forgotten plot, I only stayed as long as I did for the great actors 

So lovely, so peaceful, I love these boys so much.

Started Going Seventeen 2020 back in 2021 and am finally getting back to it! I will highlight my favorite episodes here.

First off episode 5 - 7 Boo Seungkwans past life destiny. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard, undoubtedly the funniest group with the best chemistry in the industry.  Watched Feb 10 ,2021.

 Any episode before Human Chess I have a hard time remembering because Human Chess is when I started watching again, that's why there is such a huge jump in episodes, Boo Seungkwans past life destiny is just so iconic I have never forgotten how good it is.

Episode 27 - 28 are the reason i started watching again, Mingho is so funny in this one, also a underrated moment is Hoshi trying to make friends with the killers is so extroverted of him 

Episode 34 - 35 OKAY So BAD CLUE blew me away with how much care and though was put into it, I was not expecting it to be so damn GOOD. It gave me chills 

Episode 40 - 41 Don't Lie Ⅱ  is so iconic one reason being Hoshi's moment 

Dropped on episode 1, boring scenes with intense soundtracks are really annoying and 2nd ml sexual harassment to 1st ml.... not cute.

I'll probably pick this up later, but just not in the mood for the strange atmosphere and cliché memory loss  

The first episode is genuinely funny and charming ^-^  just was I need after all the failed attempts

It's too good! I'm bumping it from 9.5 to a 10 

I just can't handle coming out to your family, I cried like a child  (╥﹏╥)

I have a love-hate relationship with the HIStory  anthologies. Some couples have their toxic moments. But I always come back because it has it's moments where it can be so well written and well acted, they always have great actors (almost 100% of the time) and HIStory5 is no exception it had it's "eye roll" moments. a lot of overused tropes. The pacing of the first couple is not to my liking (it felt to rushed to me) I especially liked the beginning, the mystery around the time travel, the living in a warehouse (idk but living in a warehouse is just a mood) Despite the pacing I did like the main couple, and while the second couple gave me the ick sometimes they were cute, the age gap and the fact that they used Ansen in a flashback where Jacons character had a very young actor was yuck.

On episode 5 and going into this I was not expecting it to be so great, there is actual plot, there is chemistry as well as tension between the MLs. Plus I love seeing a trans intersex ML.

Erek Lin is brilliant, I eat up every one of his expressions. All the actors are good.

The friendships in this one is so sweet and fun, it's not common that BL has strong friendships.

The only gripe I have about it is the forgotten plot that was setup in the beginning had a weak conclusion. Other than that it's EXCELLENT! So much nail biting tension, so much tears. 

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I liked the second couple more. I like Peat's expressions, don't like Fort's acting very much but he had his moments, and I thought the visual representation of haunting trauma was so unsettling, it was very well done I thought. 

In stories when person A finds out that someone hurt person B and person A beats the fuck out of them, is so satisfying and so healing... 

Very charming! And the acting was so natural. Short and sweet.

Although I saw About Youth getting so much praise, I put off watching it because of the school setting and the actors looking so young, putting into question their capability in acting, but how wrong I was. Acting, music, production, all excellently done, the music especially I personally love, I will be adding songs to my spotify for sure. My only two complaints is that it maybe should have been ONE more episode, I feel like the plot with Ye Guang was unresolved. The second couple, they were intriguing in the beginning but the conflict was so unnecessary and their relationship lacked any depth.  

But overall, plenty of sweet moments and lacks any toxic tropes. solid 8.5!
