Watching this show at the age of 12 was, needless to say, an experience. An experience that would change my life and leave me in awe forever. I won't jump the gun and say that this show is the best media I will ever consume in my life, but that is exactly what I'm saying.

While the story is mostly censored due to China's strict censorship regulations, the essence of the story and the characters pulled through and created an amazing world for the viewers to indulge in. While it is very evident that they produced this with a tight budget, the creative directions taken by those involved in this drama made sure that they will release the best output they can from what they have.

Everything about this series, from the actors to the music made me fall in love with it more and more. The love that the actors and the composers of the soundtrack put into their craft is visible and very much appreciated. Their efforts are what made me so immersed in this world and story.

While China continues to produce new shows with less censorship and more freedom, shows like this, which undoubtedly pioneered for this movement, will always live on in the viewers' hearts as a heartfelt memory that we can never forget.

To this day, even 4 years later, my heart still beats faster whenever I hear the beginning of 'Wuji', and my insides feels like a hollow abyss while reminiscing the emotions I felt when watching this masterpiece of a show.

'The Untamed' will always be a show that I love and will never move on from and I say that from the bottom of my heart.

    What can I say...

My very first BL. My very first thai drama. My very first GMM TV show. My very first WilliamEst series.

This drama was a lot of my firsts and I wouldn't want it otherwise. ThamePo was a drama that I did not expect to love and connect to so much. Going into it I knew i was in for a treat, but did not expect my heart to be so full by the end of it. Throughout my life as a fangirl I knew there would come a time where I find solace within the home of BL, specifically Thai BL. However I did not want to fake my interest and rush into it, but instead waited till my turn came. And when I fell for PerthSanta and was searching for a good enough drama to start my journey, I was recommended ThamePo and I made one of the best decisions of my life.

The idol life is not for the weak, and while this drama doesn't explore all aspects of it, it does portray the ups and downs that fans can resonate with the most. From the seperation of the group, their brotherhood that grew despite of it, the insecurities of the members, to the dating scandals, this show hit differently for me as a K-Pop fan that has experienced all these events in real life. You could even consider it as a form of closure I received for all my past distresses.

However you cannot deny that the romance in the show was what took the cake. The love they had for each other was unparalleled and so wholesome I cried in happiness. WilliamEst had such good chemistry that I was so surprised that this was their first lead series, and made a vow that I will support them in all their activities coming forth.

My heart also skips a beat everytime I listen to '5cm' and remember the letter that Thame wrote for Po. This is 100% a show that I consider my home, a show that I will always find comfort in no matter how much time passes by.

This was my most anticipated drama of 2025, I mean it. Not a day went by that I didn’t have the pilot trailer opened, reciting each dialog from memory and singing Gemini’s song the moment it started playing. From the 3 million views that video had when the series started airing I firmly believe I was responsible for ⅓ rd of it. Now this series isn’t perfect, it definitely has its flaws, but it certainly was perfect for me. The cinematography, the plot, the acting, the soundtrack, everything about it was perfect for me.

LYT, for me, is like a breath of fresh air when it comes to the story and the message the series is trying to portray. Not everyday do you come across a series where you have an established relationship as the leads, and also willing to tackle mental health issues in such a novel way. LYT was able to do both so well that I don’t have any criticisms regarding either of those. In a day and age where stories revolving around established relationships always go down the route of a break up due to misunderstandings, never did I ever doubt the relationship Pobmek and Solar shared. No matter what adversity they faced, they never gave space for the viewers to think that they’ll ever stop standing by each other. And I believe that that was one of the strongest points of the series.

The child actors that were casted arrived on set prepared. All of them did such a fantastic job. Props to the rest of the crew as well for creating a great environment for the child actors as there were so many scenes required of them and a slight mishap on set can affect them a lot, but they pulled it off and I cannot be more grateful.

This will forever be a series that will live on in my heart and I will continue to sing its praises till my dying breath. I spent every Saturday shedding tears while seeing them navigate their respective mental health problems, and went to bed with a happy heart knowing that they will always have each other’s backs.
