Vertical Dramas
A collection of quick, bite-sized Vertical dramas perfect for when you want a light, entertaining watch. Mini dramas with charming stories, cute couples, and easy-to-follow plots—great for a short break or casual viewing.
I also fell into the vertical drama rabbit hole, kind of late honestly, because I genuinely thought I would never get into them 😭 But after watching Summer Rose, there was absolutely no way out for me.I started watching vertical dramas at the end of 2025, and since then I’ve been having way too much fun with them. They’ve become my go-to whenever I’m in a drama slump. Some have surprisingly good stories, some are completely ridiculous, and some are so addictive that you just cannot stop watching. Most of the ones I watch are arranged and flash marriage tropes, which I think has become my favorite genre in vertical dramas. But honestly, as long as the story keeps me entertained, I don’t mind a little chaos and wildness here and there either 😂

101. Ambiguous Relationship
Chinese Drama - 2024, 86 episodes
- I loved watching how the FL slowly starts to feel physically safe with the ML and even initiates affection. For someone who cannot stand being touched, even by her best friend, seeing her build that trust was really beautiful.
- I was not bothered by how the relationship started, since in real life people will do anything to uncover what happened to their family. What I feared most was endless misunderstandings, but thankfully the drama surprised me. Instead of playing guessing games, they actually communicate their feelings.
- The ML never jokes about her safety and gives full bodyguard vibes. The FL has a few weaknesses and gets caught sometimes, but she is smart and resourceful. The ML carries strong gangster energy and clearly has eyes only for her, even if he denies it at first.
- The FL is no pushover. She has been through a lot, has admirers, but falls early and stays loyal. Even the “green tea” rival was handled well because the ML knew how to draw boundaries and saw through her tricks.
- Both fathers were terrible, but their mothers were angels.

102. Xin Hun Man Re
Chinese Drama - 2025, 78 episodes
Newlyweds Are Slow to Warm Up
I absolutely loved it, exactly my style. A solid script, a couple that truly values communication and companionship, a husband who genuinely loves his wife, and a wife who respects her husband. The acting was excellent and it was totally worth watching.
Honestly, from the very first line the ML speaks to the FL, you can already tell she chose the right person. Love can grow later, but a man’s character is shaped from birth and upbringing. Even in an unpleasant situation, the way he speaks shows he is moral, decent, and respectful.
I was only five minutes in and already felt there was no need to worry about their future. Two people with strong values like them are bound to have a sincere, respectful marriage. I truly believe the love they build will be strong because it starts with respect and rational communication.

103. Fated to Love You
Chinese Drama - 2025, 83 episodes
- This was a pretty cute drama overall. The leads were likable and had nice chemistry, and I hope to see them together in more projects.
- That said, the plot felt weak at times because of too much unnecessary miscommunication. The FL’s character was very naive and often created her own misunderstandings. The leads spent so much time dealing with avoidable nonsense that we barely got to see them act like a real couple until the end.
- I skipped a few scenes here and there, but I still watched it all the waay through.
-
104. Phoenix Lord
Chinese Drama - 2025, 60 episodes
Such a fresh and interesting plot. I loved the transition from their past tragedy, which was beautifully filmed, to the present-day hilarious “green tea” strategy. The whole cast did a great job and the drama is genuinely funny.
The ML is especially crafty when it comes to making the FL pity him, and that just adds to the charm. This series feels unique and different from most others, and I had a lot of fun watching it.
What I enjoyed most was the chemistry between leads and their love story, and the ML’s green tea acting. I just wish the FL’s character had been a bit braver and stronger.
-
105. No More Pretense: Mr. Huo's Daily Desire for Reconciliation
Chinese Drama - 2024, 96 episodes
Wang Yun Yun (Cai Cai Yun) and Wang Hao Zhen deliver subtle yet powerful performances, especially through their expressive eyes. Without exaggerated drama, they fully embody their characters and made me feel every emotional struggle. My heart ached throughout this story.
The FL is mentally strong, and watching her live with a husband who openly dislikes her is painful but realistic. I liked the supporting cast, especially the ML’s mother and sister and the FL’s doctor friend. The ML’s indifference during their five-year marriage is his biggest flaw. Inaction is also hurtful, and even when he says he likes her, it often feels closer to guilt. Seeing the FL constantly fix his scandals was frustrating.
The romance only begins once the ML realizes his mistakes. Personally, I felt he did not deserve a second chance and wished the FL had chosen the doctor instead. Still, both leads portray growth beautifully. The FL balances strength and vulnerability, while the ML’s emotional shift is clear in his eyes.
What I appreciated most is that the writing avoids excessive toxicity. The ML is held accountable by friends and family, and the FL’s pain never costs her dignity. Their reunion comes after real misunderstandings and heartbreak, making the journey feel earned.

106. Zhi Zhi Fu Zhi Zhi
Chinese Drama - 2025, 72 episodes
A decent remake this story but not my fav one.The story begins with a couple getting intimate in the back seat of a car, while a girl is driving, she is the female lead (FL). The man in the back seat is none other than her fiancé. Suddenly, the car crashes into another vehicle. From the second car emerges a man , the male lead (ML), who turns out to be the FL's ex-boyfriend.

107. Long Coveted
Chinese Drama - 2025, 72 episodes
This CP is visually stunning, and their chemistry is truly beautiful. The story suits both of them perfectly, and even though it’s their first collaboration, they performed amazingly well. They make a perfect couple with special, natural chemistry. Blessings to the lovely Meng Na and the handsome Chen Si.
At first, I thought Chen Si’s character would be a jerk, so I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue, but I’m so glad I did. He was spectacular, as always, and the FL was absolutely stunning. The plot felt fresh and engaging, and the ending was one of the most satisfying I’ve seen in a drama. I especially loved that the villains didn’t just get “caught” and disappear — we actually saw consequences, which made it much more rewarding to watch. I only wish the same had been done with the mom.
The only thing that felt unfinished was the cliffhanger around the pregnancy, which left me wanting a bit more closure.

108. Qing Shan Si Yu
Chinese Drama - 2025, 80 episodes
- This is such a beautiful, sweet, and heartbreaking story, and it even has a part two. Wang Chen Peng expresses emotion so well through his face alone, which makes many scenes even more painful to watch. Chen Lu Xi is also a strong actress, and this might be the first time I have seen her, but she really impressed me.
- What I appreciated most is that the drama goes deeper into the FL’s psyche and trauma instead of just skimming the surface. The leads acted with raw emotion, feeling like a real couple rather than just characters on screen.
- It is a touching and life-affirming journey filled with compassion. The characters feel real and alive, with warm family moments mixed with quiet heartbreak. The FL only longs for simple things in life, yet her ability to enjoy them is always fragile. The ML represents devotion and wholehearted love.
- Creative cinematography, and it really shines here. The aquamarine water scenes where she slowly descends feel almost like a ballet. The music stays soft and unobtrusive, never distracting from the story. The only confusing part for me was the availability of the drama itself.

Chinese Drama - 2025, 66 episodes
- There is a better version of this plot that I would love these leads to act as their chemistry is great! The other leads in it do well. Just the brother knows that he doesn't just want to be a brother from the start and starts blurring those lines real quick. Much better than this back and forth. I am not a fan of this version because of that back and forth.

Chinese Drama - 2023, 97 episodes
Rebirth story with a different soul in a different body, and honestly all the characters were enjoyable. The ML and the brothers-in-law were very supportive. When the FL enters the ML’s life, he is smart, handsome, rich, doubtful yet caring, doting, and adorably jealous all at once. He digs into both her past and present and stays by her side all the way to their wedding vows.
The FL carries an extra soul in one body and is smart, independent, boss-like, a loving sister, and a cute wife. I loved her bond with her brother and BIL, and her chemistry with the ML was really sweet. With a happy ending and childhood sweethearts finally getting married, this drama is definitely worth watching.

114. Yu Jin Chang An
Chinese Drama - 2026, 79 episodes
- This is a mini version of Shadow Love. It would’ve been even better if the “powerful” General didn’t need rescuing half the time.
- That said, the storyline, acting, and the transition shots between the boy and man were done really well. While it’s clearly a lighter imitation of Shadow Love, I loved that drama and I always enjoy this ML, so there was still plenty here to appreciate and enjoy.

115. A Noble Romance
Chinese Drama - 2025, 75 episodes
- The ML is the ultimate green-tea king . I absolutely loved this drama. The FL boldly pursues male models and doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. I also appreciated the message that a woman’s worth isn’t tied to “chastity.” Even her maid has super strength, which was fun to watch.
- The ML and FL have great chemistry, and the princess had such a tough life that even when she played the villain, I still felt for her. The happy ending made everything worth it.
- Overall: the best green-tea male lead ever, a stunning and powerful female lead, and even a compelling princess with a subtle lesbian love interest.

120. Sweet Wife Like Fire Huo Huo He Loves
Chinese Drama - 2025, 80 episodes
The story starts with a one night encounter that results in an unexpected pregnancy. After seven years, the female lead returns and discovers that she has twins, but one of them has been living with his biological father without her knowledge. The children eventually find out about each other and decide to secretly play matchmaker, coming up with funny twin swaps and plans to make their parents fall in love again.
The actors were decent and did a good job with their roles, but honestly, the twins were the real reason I kept watching. Their switching scenes and little schemes were hilarious and added so much charm to the story. They completely stole the show.

121. Darling, I'm Getting Married
Chinese Drama - 2025, 50 episodes
- Wasted Potential and Misplaced Focus
- The drama spends too much time on the SML’s backstory, leaving the main lead underdeveloped and forgettable. The lack of chemistry and screen time between the leads makes the central relationship feel weak. It’s disappointing because the husband’s character had real potential to carry a much stronger story.

123. Hei Qian Jin Mei Tian Du Zai Xian Da Lian
Chinese Drama - 2025, 81 episodes
Funny, Satisfying, and Full of Comebacks
This drama was a fun and satisfying watch overall. The scheming stepmother kept trying, but her plans failed every time in the most dramatic and entertaining ways. I really liked that the FL could handle herself and take down the bad guys instead of always needing the ML to step in, while the ML had his own funny moment of needing her help too.
It’s a light, cute, and stress-free drama with good chemistry between the leads. The FL is strong and likable, and the confrontations especially with the annoying side characters were oddly satisfying to watch. The villains stayed delusional till the end, but the payoff was worth it with a well-deserved and enjoyable ending.
-
124. Di Qi Ye Wei Yang
Chinese Drama - 2025, 95 episodes
A Power Couple Done Right
This drama stands out right away by giving us two rich and powerful leads in a marriage of convenience, which already feels refreshing. The ML initially misjudges the FL, assuming she’s after his money, but slowly begins to respect and fall for her as he sees her true character. I really liked how the FL never lets his past words or actions slide and holds him accountable, which made their relationship feel more real.
The FL is the strongest point of the drama. She’s smart, independent, and fully capable of handling her own battles. She doesn’t need saving, yet knows when to be patient and when to strike back, and her revenge moments are very satisfying. The ML’s growth is also well done. Once he falls, he is loyal and never lets outside interference affect their relationship, which is honestly refreshing.
Their relationship develops naturally from misunderstanding to trust and love, feeling balanced and mature. The supporting characters and villains add to the story, and while some tropes like the childhood connection feel unnecessary, they don’t take away from the overall experience.
Overall, it’s an engaging and satisfying watch with strong characters, great chemistry, and a romance that feels equal and well-earned.

125. Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le
Chinese Drama - 2025, 124 episodes
A Fun, Refreshing Twist on Romance
This drama feels fresh and entertaining with its unique storyline, breaking away from the usual repetitive plots. The ML has that classic CEO charm, while the FL’s quirky and lively personality adds humor and warmth, especially as she slowly brings him out of his cold shell. Their chemistry feels natural, and their interactions are genuinely fun to watch.
What really stands out is how straightforward both female leads are. There’s no unnecessary toxicity, no overused dramatic tropes, just a light, enjoyable story with lovable characters. The relationships, especially the caring and affectionate dynamic of the older couple, are handled beautifully. Even though the identity-switch setup is a bit unrealistic, it doesn’t take away from how cute and satisfying the overall drama is.

I did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would, i like these type of romance, and the romance itself was nice but up until the very end of the show the FL never once communicated with the ML about her family issues or her plans, evwn when the ML came to her about other issues and she said the basic thing is trust in a marriage, yet she never went to him, even when his sister was bothering her, those things are my pet peeve and made me not enjoyed it as much as I would have liked

129. Ta Yu Ai Shen Tong Shi Jiang Lin
Chinese Drama - 2025, 98 episodes
Clingy ml and overpowered fl. I'm always down for an adoring husband who Worships the ground she walks on.
FL is not simple woman ,she is a divine healer she can do hypnotize , drive racecar, good in fighting skills , play violin and cello ,such a talented wkman, she's beautiful and delicate but if you try to harm her you cannot beat her.
ML is not a fool, he recognized the FL as his savior. He also doesn't have a big ego, he professes his love and sincerity early on. FL is smart and sassy. He became like a puppy very soon even showing off his wedding ring like a girl -

131. Love & Revenge
Chinese Drama - 2025, 74 episodes
This is one of those rebirth dramas that seem to be a more accurate portrayal of what it would look like if someone came back to life after being BRUTALLY murdered by their own family. The FL is dark, vicious, and of course a little bit crazy. That is the CORRECT response. She also CORRECTLY deals with her yandere husband.
She IMMEDIATELY starts fulfilling some of his needs to build trust. She doesn't criticize his bad behavior. Instead gently correcting it and teaching him how she WANTS to be treated. She addresses his insecuritites and acknowledges that he is psycologically different from others. That makes their relationship harmonious as she plots the very explicit downfall of her trash family. -
132. Secret Love
Chinese Drama - 2024, 90 episodes
Great chemistry between the leads. On fire tension
with several kiss scenes ;). Loved when he told her how to place his mole! And the table kiss scene. It's like "I waited 7 years and now I want to ravish you!" Lol. From both of them. Sweet love story with little angst made this relaxing. My first time to watch either leads. Jwells posted the ml name below. If anyone knows the fl, please let me know. I liked her bestie as well. -
133. Mr. Ye, Let's Get Married
Chinese Drama - 2024, 74 episodes
Nothing very different from the standard. I've seen a few where the ex's family really put him in his place a lot better than this, where his best friend really called him out on his bs, where the FL's family was alive and supported her through the breakup well. So there are many other versions out there that actually did a much better job than this. I didn't like that they waited until the very end for the FL to learn about her husband's wealth. I prefer upfront and honest relationships, especially where the last relationship the FL had was so bad. The romance in this one was extremely lacking too.

134. An Lian De Xiao Qing Mei Ta Ren Mei Ge Tian
Chinese Drama - 2024, 86 episodes
This has to be one of the sweetest , most beautiful mini dramas I've ever watched. Immediate favorite ! ML and FL are both charming and did a great job , I loved their chemistry. They did such a perfect portrayal of shy and sweet girl x confident and caring boy. I'm glad the drama spent enough time developing their story without unnecessary misunderstandings and third party , just enough exposure of her relationship with SML to show the development of FL's character and lovelife. Definitely recommended for those who love sweet feel-good love stories !
Ml is adorable especially when it comes to her. Love his smile and you can tell that when he looks at her he just gets lost in her. Great chemistry. She was having a rough time remembering her previous life with him as her husband. I'm surprised she didn't jump him sooner. Loved how ml just kept getting bloody noses.

Chinese Drama - 2025, 84 episodes
Brilliant drama about a man winning the affections of a woman dumped by his brother ML was a flirty puppy but sneaky at trying to win FL's affections. I also liked that he had a successful career - he's not just a rich kid. Loved that FL didn't wallow in self-pity once she found out about her boyfriend. She got her heart broken but there was no second chance. The banters between FL and ML were fun to watch. There was some sexual tension brewing between them. Terrific performances by Wang Pei Yan, Liang Wen Jing and the cast. I even liked the actor who played SML.I really liked ML's parents for being supportive and understanding. One of the best written dramas. Well developed arcs for the four lead characters.SFL was insecure, jealous and a gold digger. She was also the type of woman who defines her worth by having a man. ML's brother (the SML) was pitiful at first because of his situation but then he became despicable & disrespectful towards FL. He was silly for not doing a background check on the woman he was going to marry.

Chinese Drama - 2025, 77 episodes
This drama is so beautiful, and this couple is so lovely!
I really liked how the male lead (ML) treats the female lead (FL) he cherishes her like a child, with care and gentleness. The FL is portrayed as a pampered, slightly spoiled, yet innocent character who knows exactly when to show attitude and how to use her charm. She carries herself with grace and confidence. One of the best parts is how naturally the leads connect. Their bond develops in a very genuine, realistic way. The ML is a reserved, introverted person who doesn’t express much verbally, but his actions speak volumes. They both try to in relation , and the two have great communication. There are no misunderstandings between them, and they share a strong rapport.Their dynamic gives the feeling that the ML is more mature almost like an elder figure and the FL is the younger one being lovingly pampered. It’s written in a way that shows a nurturing, affectionate relationship, which is a beautiful element to highlight. -
146. Inescapable Desire
Chinese Drama - 2025, 64 episodes
The plot was the average cdrama reborn, enacts plan for retribution against sml and sfl, ml is the brother of sml who has loved her since their pinky promise childhood days. The plot is well executed, so it gets a 5 because it's perfectly average, nothing remarkable or pioneering. And it was done well with no alterations that would make it worse, like constant torture for the fl to endure or prolonging frustrating misunderstandings.

147. Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le Season 2
Chinese Drama - 2026, 80 episodes
Loved this season, especially the relationship between the in-laws—it was surprisingly cute and added a lot of charm. The moments between the father and his sons were wholesome, and the whole “everyone getting divorce papers on the same day” situation was genuinely hilarious.
Nothing felt forced, and the drama stayed consistently enjoyable throughout. If you liked the first season, you’ll definitely enjoy this one too.
It also works well as a standalone since enough background is given to follow the story without confusion.

Boring with same evil step sister with bilogical mother misunderstood her own daughter as stand in and torchered her ML after one night stand became her night in shining armour and helped her everytime every where, the relationship between leads lacks chemistry, communication and momnets of understanding its jus feel like all chiche scenes thrown in to create a new one .

149. Wild Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 65 episodes
A dark, forbidden vertical romance with intense chemistry, strong sexual tension, and a surprisingly layered storyline that goes much deeper than expected. The relationship between the leads is gripping, filled with desire, emotional tension, and a push-pull dynamic that keeps you invested throughout. The performances stand out, especially in how they balance vulnerability with obsession and hidden pain, making the romance feel both passionate and unsettling at times.
However, the drama is not what it initially seems. It starts with expectations of a steamy, secret romance but gradually shifts into much darker territory with heavy emotional themes and family dysfunction. These twists add depth but can also feel jarring if you are not prepared for the tone shift. Overall, it’s a bold and engaging watch, but definitely not for those looking for a light or simple romance.

150. The Wild One
Chinese Drama - 2025, 71 episodes
I was expecting something more intense but...this drama is cute! The FL acts shy but she doesn't deny her feelings and goes on to openly play and constantly tempt the ML. The ML loves her and is protective but it's not to the point he restricts her freedom. He gives her free rein to do what she wants and only steps in when she asks or is necessary. It was also great that they actively communicate! So, there are no frustrating misunderstandings. This is so rare in these dramas. I was surprised to learn they are actually married in real life! No wonder their romantic/flirting scenes seem very smooth.

151. The Captive Rose
Chinese Drama - 2025, 64 episodes
FL is kind and too naive. Why would she think those are mosquitoe bites?
First drama I'm seeing a FL get something for the workers.
Finally a badass female bodyguard for the FL.
Love the Butler's inner monologue.
ML got reborn to tame his dark side.Liang Si Wei was really the only thing holding this drama together. I found the FL actress to be really flat and lacking presence. I did not enjoy her performance but I'm a fan of Liang Si Wei so I give this a pass but barely.

152. Tender Is the Night
Chinese Drama - 2025, 91 episodes
The script would have been better if the female lead hadn't hidden her true identity as the male lead's husband. It's annoying when the man is so willing to take responsibility.
The female lead's character seems foolish and ridiculous. Why hide it? Even if she breaks up with the male lead, she'll still be the mother of his child. It's good that the male lead is mature enough to make the story somewhat watchable. The female lead's concealment of her true identity makes her seem like a liar, which makes her character unlikable. -
153. Sheng Shi Lan Shan Chu

Yes there's misunderstanding. But he jian qi play an awesome character, he protected female lead a certain way type thing. Other users may not see that point of view but female lead adoptive mum was so manipulative! He did what he thought was right, and couldn't get the chance or opportunity to get to explain to female type thing.A Cute and sweet love story plot ... Starts with a lot of misunderstandings (though I don't know how they remain unresolved for 2 years but I can understand the hurt of both) despite that , they stick together and slowly discovering all the good and bad secrets of their relationship and the people around them

This is my first version of this story I realy liked the story a power couple that are their for each other and always ready to protect each although their relationship start are pretenious but it gown so much. The couple lacks the chemistry and never give of the married vibe but the story was intresting enough to keep going and the fls revenge was satisfying and mls side of sotry was cut short but given a glimpse of his faimly who is actulay similary ridiculus as fl's.

155. Ta Zhi You San Fen Guai
Chinese Drama - 2025, 75 episodes
This drama delivers the perfect combination of romance, passion, and incredible chemistry between the leads. Their relationship feels genuine and affectionate, filled with sweet gestures, reassuring words, and plenty of sizzling moments that make them a truly unforgettable power couple. The female lead is smart, bold, and determined, while the male lead has a bad-boy aura but proves to be gentle, protective, and deeply devoted to her. One of the best aspects of the story is that they trust each other completely and face every challenge as a team, without unnecessary misunderstandings.
Family plays a central role in the story, highlighting the contrast between the warm and loving support of the male lead’s family and the cold, manipulative behavior of the female lead’s relatives. The supporting characters add humor and heart, especially the loyal best friends and the male lead’s caring mother. While some family members are easy to dislike, they only make the central couple’s bond feel stronger and more rewarding to watch.

Great drama. It was interesting and fun.
The ML definitely carried this through. He was fun, charismatic, seductive but not forceful, and acted so well. If it weren't for him i may not have watched it all the way through.
The FL character kinda weak. She wasnt easily bullied and would stand up for herself but her acting seemed weaker and didn't match well with the acting of the ML. The chemistry wasnt quite there. I dont know why they made her character refuse him so many times. I get that she was concerned he was just teasing her and not serious about marriage but he was clearly devoted her.Genres: Romance

It's a very sweet drama with alot of annoying green tea chrachters. The female lead is strong, hardworking, and never gives in to reality. She single-handedly raised her son with great difficulty, and deserves the CEO and his family's doting affection. Both the male and female leads are beautiful, and the acting of all the actors in the drama is just right. It's a very enjoyable watch. The characters that attracted me most in this show were the male lead's grandfather, father, and assistant. Their natural acting was incredibly captivating and hilarious! This story is very sweet because of the couple and funny because of the grandfather and the father, but what I don't like is the violence against the child and the protagonist.

This was a very good drama. The FL had a mission and pretty much stuck to it without compromise. The ML loved the FL since time was time and continued his pursuit of her heart and to protect her. The "bad" people were punished.FL is a seemingly innocent but actually cunning character. She pretends to be weak to uncover the truth behind her mother's death and retrieve her belongings; her hidden identity is the famous Peking Opera.

The FL is cunning and manipulative because she has to be to survive her family. ML has massive love brain and is obsessed with FL and while he may be domineering and scary to everyone else, he becomes a puppy with her. The drama itself is very well made and serves as another adaptation of the Chinese version starring Ke Chun. In comparison, the main couple in this version felt less compelling.

167. Ying and Zhou Fall in Enchanting
Chinese Drama - 2026, 70 episodes
One of the most refreshing things about this drama is that the female lead is not constantly chasing after the male lead like in many typical romances. Instead, she is emotionally distant and guarded, while the male lead is the one pursuing her wholeheartedly. That role reversal made their dynamic feel far more realistic and engaging.
The rejection scene after the male lead’s confession was genuinely heartbreaking. The drama does a great job portraying a woman who struggles with emotional commitment because of her past issues, even though she is clearly affected by him. I especially liked the conversation with her friend analyzing why she acted like the one who got hurt despite being the one who rejected him.
The chemistry between the leads is excellent from beginning to end. Their relationship develops naturally from attraction into genuine affection, and their physical chemistry feels intense and believable. The romance is mature, passionate, and emotionally driven, with both actors delivering strong performances that make the relationship feel authentic and captivating.

168. Hide One's Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 100 episodes
Chen Si completely carried the drama for me. His performance brought intensity and emotional depth to an otherwise messy and toxic story. The drama itself is dark, chaotic, and emotionally unhealthy, but those kinds of roles suit him perfectly, and he played the character incredibly well.
I honestly struggled to understand when or why the leads truly fell for each other because the emotional progression felt weak. It seemed more like the female lead simply became attached to him after spending so much time together rather than genuinely developing feelings naturally.
While Yang Shu Yu did fine overall and I generally like her, her portrayal here felt too timid and repetitive at times. The character often came across as weak, and her expressions rarely changed, which made the emotional scenes feel less impactful. I feel another actress might have brought more strength and complexity to the female lead.
-
169. Jing Cheng Zhi Deng Dai Yi Chang Li Bie Xue
Chinese Drama - 2025, 42 episodes
The female lead approaches the male lead to raise money for her sister’s surgery, and the huge gap in their social status along with her hidden motives creates constant tension between them. Somehow, despite all the conflict, they unexpectedly fall in love, only to break up and reunite again because of frustrating misunderstandings.
After the three-year time skip, the drama glosses over major struggles like the male lead’s family problems, his career downfall, and the female lead’s hardships, which makes the characters feel emotionally disconnected and their motivations harder to understand.
Still, Wang Haozhen and Guan Xin had decent chemistry that kept the drama watchable. The story also felt a bit more unique than typical vertical dramas and became more interesting as it progressed, but just when it fully pulled me in, it ended far too abruptly.
-
170. Pei Xian Sheng De Ye Mei Gui
Chinese Drama - 2025, 72 episodes
The drama tells the story of a strong and headstrong woman who has learned to survive on her own. Once the male lead truly understands her struggles and emotional wounds, he falls deeply in love with her and supports her unconditionally. Their chemistry is undeniably intense, but what makes their relationship special is the emotional safety and trust between them.
I could understand why Suli hesitated to fully accept the male lead’s love. When you genuinely love someone, it becomes difficult to use or hurt them for your own survival. The female lead’s character is especially well written because despite her flirtatious and hypersexual behavior, she is actually deeply afraid of emotional intimacy due to the trauma and abuse she experienced growing up.
The male lead stands out as a mature, patient, and emotionally intelligent partner. Instead of forcing or judging her, he becomes her safe haven, offering understanding, comfort, and stability. I also appreciated that their relationship was built gradually through attraction, flirting, and emotional connection rather than immediately turning into a one-night stand like many similar dramas.
Another beautiful aspect of the story is the supporting characters who continue to treat the female lead with kindness despite her difficult past. More than blame or judgment, she needed love, acceptance, and people willing to stand by her, which made the emotional journey even more touching.

171. His Dearest
Chinese Drama - 2025, 80 episodes
The drama was genuinely entertaining, even though it felt a little stretched at times. The split personality twist was unexpected and added an interesting layer to the story. Of course, like many Chinese dramas, it had a few unrealistic moments, such as the fragile and untrained female lead somehow surviving a jump from the fourth floor without much issue.
The leads completely carried the drama. Zhang Beixi was especially captivating with his charisma, strong screen presence, and masculine charm. The female lead actress also delivered an excellent performance, and together they had incredibly intense chemistry. Their romantic scenes felt natural and passionate, which made the relationship much more convincing and enjoyable to watch.
Both families were as toxic and frustrating as expected, but it was satisfying to see them eventually face the consequences of their actions. And honestly, the “five-year-old child” reveal was probably the biggest-looking five-year-old I have ever seen in a drama.

172. Shan Hun Hou Bei Lao Gong Quan Jia Tuan Chong
Chinese Drama - 2025, 87 episodes
The Li family was honestly so ungrateful. The female lead literally saved the grandmother’s life, yet none of them showed genuine appreciation. Instead, they kept acting arrogant, especially the snobbish younger sister who was unbearable most of the time. Even the male lead initially looked down on the female lead, doubted her medical abilities, and refused to trust her to continue treating the same grandmother she had already saved.
What kept me watching was the female lead herself. I liked her sharp tongue and the fact that she refused to quietly accept bullying. She always fought back when people tried to humiliate her, although some moments were frustrating, like when her shop was vandalized and she did not even demand compensation.
Overall, it is a decent adaptation of this type of story and entertaining enough to watch, but personally it was not my favorite version.
-
173. The 100th Echo
Chinese Drama - 2025, 73 episodes
The overall story is fairly simple and follows a few familiar romance tropes, including a long-standing unrequited love, a younger man pursuing an older woman, and a second male lead who only realizes what he lost after it's too late. After confessing to the second male lead countless times and repeatedly being rejected, the female lead finally decides to move on, which opens the door for the male lead's persistent and sincere pursuit.
There are a couple of minor misunderstandings throughout the story, but thankfully they are resolved quickly without dragging on for episodes. The male lead is proactive, straightforward, and emotionally mature, making him easy to root for. Meanwhile, the second male lead falls into the classic category of regretting his choices and trying to win her back once she's no longer available.
The drama maintains a warm and sweet atmosphere, and despite featuring an older woman-younger man romance with a teacher-student connection, it avoids many of the overused clichés often found in similar stories. The romance develops naturally, and the second half offers plenty of affectionate moments and kissing scenes.
That said, while I enjoyed the story overall, I personally felt the leads lacked a bit of chemistry. Their relationship was sweet on paper, but the emotional spark between them never fully clicked for me. Even so, it's still a pleasant and easy watch for fans of lighthearted romance dramas.
-
174. Ti Kuan Ji Bu Dang Le, Xiao Cao Quan Jia Ji Feng Le
Chinese Drama - 2024, 67 episodes
This drama combines the popular "reborn and no longer a simp" storyline with the classic "everyone underestimates the CEO's wife" setup, creating a surprisingly entertaining revenge romance. It even has a memorable scene reminiscent of those emotional drunk-dial moments that always hit just right.
The leads fit their student roles very well, and one thing I appreciated was that the rebirth actually changed the female lead's behavior. Unlike many similar dramas, the characters aren't constantly making foolish decisions after getting a second chance at life. The female lead learns from her mistakes and refuses to repeat the same patterns.
Honestly, watching her past life made my blood boil. She gave the second male lead so much power over her that he genuinely believed he could continue treating her like garbage even after her rebirth. Seeing him realize that she was no longer the same obedient girl was incredibly satisfying.
The female lead is confident, intelligent, and wonderfully domineering. Her revenge isn't about quick punishment but about slowly making the people who wronged her face the consequences of their actions. The romance is equally enjoyable, with the female lead often taking the initiative, which gives the relationship a refreshing dynamic. Sweet romance, satisfying revenge, and a strong female lead make this a very fun watch.
-
175. Qing Dui Wo Xin Dong Ba
Chinese Drama - 2025, 50 episodes
This drama is built almost entirely on misunderstandings, and honestly, it might take the crown for having the most ridiculous one I've seen. The central misunderstanding lasts nearly the entire drama, which can be both frustrating and hilarious depending on your patience level.
The female lead tested my nerves at times because she tolerated far too much bullying before standing up for herself. I generally prefer stronger and more confident heroines. Still, she does have her moments, and I enjoyed seeing her fight back, especially when she stopped accepting fake apologies and finally gave some of her enemies a taste of their own medicine.
The male lead was the real highlight for me. He was supportive, considerate, genuinely kind, and refreshingly free of unnecessary toxicity. His grandmother was wonderful as well and added a lot of warmth to the story.
The plot itself is often illogical, especially when it comes to the divorce and marriage-related situations, but the drama seems aware of how absurd some of its own scenarios are. That self-awareness, combined with several funny and satisfying moments like the public exposure of the villains, made it entertaining despite its flaws.
Overall, it's a frustrating but surprisingly funny watch. Just be prepared to fast-forward through some of the repetitive bullying and arguing scenes.
-
176. Zhan You Mei Gui
Chinese Drama - 2025, 64 episodes
The overall cast was great, especially the male lead and second male lead, who both performed their roles well. However, I felt the female lead was quite stiff in her acting, and her character also came across as overly naive and somewhat weak at times. I haven’t watched any other version of this story, so this was my first experience with it, but I still found the storyline quite engaging.
The male and female leads had good chemistry, and I especially liked how the second male lead got exactly what he deserved. He played the role of an arrogant, toxic character convincingly, someone who only realized too late what he had lost.
Overall, the story follows Jiang Ye, who, after being publicly humiliated and belittled by her boyfriend Zhou Jingsu, ends their four-year relationship. In search of revenge and self-worth, she begins a new whirlwind romance with his younger brother, Shen Jinsi, who is determined to marry her. As tensions rise between the brothers, Zhou Jingsu struggles to move on and starts fighting to win her back, but Jiang Ye has already chosen her future and refuses to return to her controlling past.

This drama follows a female lead who breaks free from a toxic marriage where she was controlled, isolated, and slowly drained of her confidence. Her journey focuses on reclaiming her independence and rebuilding her life on her own terms. The male lead enters as a calm, devoted presence who deeply loves her but never tries to control her, instead encouraging her growth and strength. Their chemistry is strong, and the romance feels mature, supportive, and healing. Overall, it’s an emotional yet uplifting story about self-worth and finding healthy love. -
178. Obsessed with Her
Chinese Drama - 2025, 75 episodes
The acting is solid with strong chemistry between the leads and plenty of well-executed intimate moments without feeling stiff. The cinematography is polished, and the dialogues are surprisingly well written for a romance-heavy plot. There are also multiple twists that keep the story engaging throughout.
The female lead is a bold, risk-taking fashion model engaged to the son of a wealthy business family, but she is also secretly involved with a mechanic who resembles her lost first love. Ten years ago, she lost someone dear to her in a tragic incident, and now she is driven by revenge connected to that past.
As the story unfolds, things get complicated with obsession, hidden identities, and tangled relationships between the three leads. Both men become deeply fixated on her while she tries to uncover the truth behind her past while managing her present chaos.
Overall, it’s a messy but entertaining drama filled with romance, suspense, and emotional intensity.

Very entertaining and funny, but honestly I was rooting for both women to just walk away.
Even if I accept the uncle’s explanation, the nephew still felt like he was emotionally cheating and constantly siding with the other woman. Both women genuinely loved them from the beginning, which made the situation even more frustrating to watch.
Overall, it was still a fun and easy watch. It wasn’t the usual cliché vertical drama, and the actresses were really enjoyable as best friends. I just wish the second couple had more screen time because they were quite interesting.
Despite that, it was a light, feel-good drama with a lot of humor, including some of the funniest lines delivered by a supporting employee that really stood out.

181. Wrong Wedding Chamber, the Good Girl Makes the First Move
Chinese Drama - 2026, 72 episodes
This version has the best casting in my opinion. The SFL doesn’t feel robotic, and the SML doesn’t come across as childish, which makes the dynamics much more believable.
I also liked how the drama took time to explore the ML’s inner conflict about how he thought he should treat his wife versus how he actually wanted to treat her. That added a nice emotional layer to his character. The FL is another highlight here. She isn’t portrayed as childish, just genuinely innocent due to being well protected and spoiled by her older sister, and later by her husband. It makes her feel natural rather than exaggerated.
It’s a shame the older sister–younger brother couple didn’t get much screen time, but I understand the focus was kept on the main pairing. I also appreciated how the final conflict revolves around the in-laws, and how their issues come from both of them trying to be perfect spouses but failing to express themselves properly.

Chinese Drama - 2025, 48 episodes
The chemistry was good, but the story really needed more time to develop. One thing that frustrated me was the female lead's reaction after discovering her boyfriend was cheating. Instead of immediately ending the relationship, she kept listening to his excuses and putting up with his nonsense. Strangely, she seemed more upset with the male lead than with the boyfriend who actually betrayed her.
Whenever her ex was involved, she became irrational and made decisions that felt childish and frustrating. It was hard not to be annoyed by her behavior at times. That said, Wang Yi Lie was definitely one of the highlights of the drama and did a great job in his role.

This had one of the most terrifying MLs I've seen in a while. I was literally rooting for FL to escape.

184. Utterly Submit
Chinese Drama - 2025, 68 episodes
This adaptation takes a more detailed and mature approach to the story. While it's not my personal favorite version, I can see why many consider it the strongest adaptation. The relationship stands out because it's built on respect, care, and mutual support rather than just power dynamics or romance.
I still prefer the more confident and assertive female lead from other versions, but I appreciated how both characters were given depth and how their relationship felt grounded and healthy. Overall, not my favorite adaptation, but probably the most well-rounded one.

185. Your Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 63 episodes
The dog curse concept was fun and gave the drama a unique twist. The storyline felt different from the usual romance dramas, and the dogs were absolutely adorable, especially the dad dog. My favorite character was the assistant. He was funny, incredibly loyal, and often stole every scene he was in.
The dynamic between the leads was also a lot of fun. She was supposed to be the master, but he was always the one pulling the strings, which made their push-and-pull relationship very entertaining. My favorite part was when the male lead kept asking for toch. Those moments were both cute and surprisingly sensual. Their chemistry was great.

The best thing about the drama is the Green Tea ML. The story otherwise is so so.

187. A Season for Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 75 episodes
This turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. The production quality is excellent, with a compelling plot and a genuinely satisfying ending. The cinematography is beautiful, making great use of natural sunlight, modern architectural homes, and carefully crafted visuals. Every detail feels intentional, right down to the wardrobe, which perfectly captures that elegant "old money" aesthetic.
One of my favorite aspects was how the leads chose to face their problems together instead of dragging the story through endless misunderstandings. Their communication and teamwork made the relationship feel much more refreshing and enjoyable to watch.
What really kept me hooked, though, was that there was an actual story beyond the romance. The plot stayed engaging from beginning to end, and the leads were perfectly cast. Their chemistry was incredible—every scene between them had so much tension and charm.
The female lead is confident, intelligent, and consistently capable, while the male lead effortlessly switches between being an adorable, lovestruck puppy and a calculating, ruthless mastermind. Once the female lead becomes part of his world, he is completely captivated by her, and watching his unwavering obsession unfold is strangely irresistible. It may not sound like the healthiest dynamic when described on paper, but the drama makes it work in a way that's incredibly entertaining. It's one of those shows you simply have to watch to understand why it's so appealing.

Loved this drama! Hu Jiacheng plays the usual domineering CEO with the screechy arranged fiancee (but who has secretly loved the FL for years) and FL Lan Lan as a lawyer who dumps the cheaterpants fiance, has a ONS with her old high school crush only to find out the next day that he is her boss. Yes, it’s that old story but this couple is fire. Hu Jiacheng has an interesting, unusual look for a ML but plays his long-standing crush beautifully and is appealingly flirty and handsy. The dialog is cute and fun, this couple is frank, comfortable, and electric.
