Dramas just a hair from Favorites
Just as the title says, these dramas are oh so close to my favorites. They didn't make it, but are so close it would be wrong not to acknowledge how much I liked them, so I made this list.
Or, otherwise said, they are ones that I want to like so badly... but don't quite >.<

7. Abyss
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
When a show has an actor/actress you love, one wants to love it. Abyss, though, is a show I wouldn't necessarily recommend to people. Don't get me wrong the acting's great, and the cgi, when used, was well done... but... that's kinda where this show ends.
Honestly, you will enjoy this show if you are able to look over everything... eh... about it. There really isn't anything explained about the Abyss, but everyone claims to fully understand it... until they don't and the abyss shows in unhelpful text around the sphere how it works. The origin of it's overlooked, warnings from the alien peeps that revived him are completely ignored. At least there is one upside, the show has consistency... the characters stay their dumb selves... which almost gets endearing... until clear answers to their problems get you face-palming...
Another problem is there is really no suspense. I mean, depending on the drama this is fine... but Abyss seems to be trying to be suspenseful... and just really fails. That all being said, the show does have upsides to them... which, when ignoring the bad, kinda help. I mean, I ended up enjoying it despite myself. As said before, the acting was well done (I mean when there's Park Bo Young how can it not be) fangirling aside. The relationships between characters were... unique. Especially the main couple... I wasn't sure if I wanted to root for them or not... the show clearly wanted to prove to you in the end they were always both in love... but the main girl just continues to seem shallow...
That being said about the two, the ending is still one of the cutest, if not the cutest, I've seen.
