People perceived idols as someone who can act and was cast due to popularity. These actors have broken barriers about idols. They have proven it several times on dramas and movies.
(Although idols like V and Baekhyun did well with their last drama, they havnt done a lot to see their consistency as actors)

In my opinion, its more difficult to be an actress than an actor. Women usually are more emotional. Sometimes men just need to have a stoic look because Tsundere is quite the trend. But to be an actress you'll need a lot of depth and show dynamic emotions that the story would require. But she did an excellent job showing pain and joy, even doing comedy. I seriously cant bear to watch any actor who seemed faking pain. The sniffing noisy sob. She did so well in Another Ms. Oh.
