The time jump is important in keeping the story going and is not there just to show their current lives (aka, not in the last episode where they finally get together, then the story jumps to 2 years later just to show them living happily ever after). Does not include dramas where they met years ago but were not in love or it was a one-sided crush and the other party hardly knew of their existence.
