Queer shows with main characters aged 35+
I am basing this on the actor's age unless the character's age is stated in the show. There are surprisingly few of these.Not counting 40 year old characters going back in time to an earlier stage of their own life. Masc woman as main in a GL
Am deeply sad about how few of these there are, how old they are, and how low budget, obscure and short they are. The new GL wave (that started in Thailand, after the success of GAP) has not hit masc sapphics yet. Was hoping 'Be My Angel' could be a breakthrough. In order to qualify, at least one of the main characters has to be masculine in dress and/or mannerisms. Notes on how present the masc energy is. Ordered by how much I liked the show in general.You'll notice a wave of 2015/2016 Chinese butchfem GLs that then abruptly ends. For example, the sequel 'Girls Love 3' never appeared. It ended because that's when the CCP banned gay media, during the viral success of the BL 'Addicted'.Oh also, not an MDL country, but Gentleman Jack is also a show that exists.
