I put this list together in chronological order based on how the story events happen, not by release date. It mixes the main series with the movies and spin-offs so you can follow the timeline of the characters and their tomb expeditions more clearly. Since some films and adaptations don’t fully match the original novel or even each other, I’ve focused on what fits best within the overall in-universe progression rather than strict canon accuracy. A few entries may feel slightly different in tone or details, but they’re included where they make the most sense in the story timeline so you can follow the journey step by step without getting lost.
This is literally just a list of my most favourite (of all time), top-rated BLs! I'm very. very critical and stingy with my 9 and 10 ratings so if you see that I rated a title this, then you better know it's AMAZING. Side note: YES I am aware that technically The Untamed is not a BL but just try and tell me that it's not obvious they're in love. There are sooo many hints and subtle confessions throughout the show, the show's original source is a BL, and even the director and actors have basically said WWX and LWJ were bfs. Legit, Xiao Zhan (WWX) and Wang Yibo (LWJ) were talking arguing over LWJ being a trash bf for *certain actions in the show* and they've all discussed their love etc etc. Just trust me when I say YOU SHOULD WATCH IT, it's a masterpiece - the only flaws are the wigs lol.
