She made her debut in June 2016 as GUGUDAN's vocalist and visual with their first mini-album, "Act 1. The Little Mermaid". After some initial success, the group began struggling to find promotional activities, and new releases were not as frequent. Jellyfish Entertainment (젤리피쉬엔터테인먼트) decided to put the full group on hiatus in 2018.
She made her official acting debut in 2018 with a role in the web drama "I Picked Up a Star on the Road".
In December 2020, after two years of no activity, Jellyfish announced that GUGUDAN had officially disbanded.
In January 2024, she created the duo CATTRIEVER with former MBLAQ member Park Sang Hyun (known professionally as Thunder) and debuted with the single "Sunflower". The couple had been dating for 4 years and married in May 2024.
