Was Pitbabe series 2 worth watching NO. Whoever wrote the script for this second series said lets do the direct opposite of what all the fans want. It wasn't a patch on Pitbabe one. It was a complete turnaround and it sucked. It was as if the directors and the scripwriters had lost their memory and just
made a complete hash of series 2. It turned into experimenting with drugs with names like the skill erasing drug...What's that got to do with motor racing.. It was laughable.. as for the bare chests and the kissing which to me was overkill The whole series was pointless. So
a big disappointment. The cast has only followed what's give them. Only my opinion.

The story...

Loved it. I did enjoy watching this series. It was full of emotion and angst. The two ML acted their parts brilliantly you could feel the agony they both went through. In a lot of these asian BLs parents look at their kids like they have commited a murder by falling in love with the same sex. As long as they are happy as a mother I would be delighted whoever they chose. I have a gay grandson who has a partner
and we as a family love them both. Back to the series the ending wasnt what I expected but it was the only ending to follow the story.. what other ending could they miraculously come up with.Very emotional series at the end. I found it heartrending. I really wanted a happy ending for Shi Wen and Shen Nan but it wasnt to be. Shen Nan knew what he had to do and sacrificed his undying love by removing himself from Shi Wens life so he would live.

Entertainment value..

Ml and FL needed a marriage counsellor even before they tied the knot. 32 episodes were far to long for me
which is a turn off with so many series. The ML would have been through the door for his arrogance...
posturing and authorative behavior where as the FL
stood for his lack of warmth taken over by his icy grip. She was very much the victim and the pairing seemed more like a a Father daughter relationship.. In fact she was more in childish mode and lacked maturity. I did enjoy the series because I'm a big fan of Wallace Chung.
I stuck with it watched it through to the end. My
opinion it was OK.. The acting was first class. The story was average. I would nt watch it again because my stress levels with both leads would nt allow it.

Is the storyline worth watching..

At first as soon as I saw the the noisy irritating actors being loud and acting ridiculously stupid which shows up in a lot of BLs. If a series is full of drama its very off putting. The bl series was watchable and I did enjoy some of the scenes. The 4 male Leads played their parts very well and were very easy on the eye. I find Thai males are extremely good looking. There were a few hiccups like the delay between verbal conversations which gave the idea they had forgot their lines. I think they need to drop the scene where one falls and lands on top of the other nearly kissing and then mortified it actually happened. It's been done that many times its
boring. I enjoy the drunk scenes because I enjoy men kissing. Don't ask me why but I do. I've shocked myself.
It is I think Asian men (Korean.. Chinese.. Thai...) they look after themselves.. Dress stylish and have so many talents to their name. I did enjoy the series. The male leads were charismatic.. They jelled.. and l just love BLS.
I haven't watched anything western for at least 2years.

Great drama.

I dont bother to read comments as everyone to their own. I enjoyed the drama as it wasn't cheesy. No giggly girls in it and it was a dark series which I like. The main cast were excellent portraying their parts.
There was enough gore to set it apart from
the ordinary crime storyline.. In fact all in all a great watch... I have only just watched it in 2023 so there was no second series which was a pity. This is what I hate about asian dramas there are no follow up series even if it ends with an open ending. We want finales and endings that satisfys the viewers..

Quality

The first annoyance was the music. It was tinny and at times out of tune. It was played at every opportunity. Sorry but that's my opinion. The series was a muddle and absurd. I lost track at times as there was so much toing and froing
I couldn't make out who was jumping in the water and who was getting out.I didn't think that Max and Nat were a good match at all as Max looked really mature.. Nat looked more boyish.. I think in some of the bls showing your chest and your abs to some is enough but I've seen enough bare chests to last me a lifetime.
All in all I did watch it till the end through all the confusion. The actors did their best with a script that really wasnt up to the mark.

Great series

Ji Sung can do no wrong in my eyes. Everything he touches turns to gold. First class crime actor. I loved him in The Devil Judge and Kill me heal me. My all time favourites and this is just as good. He doesnt look his age.. He still looks early thirtys. Plenty of eye candy..
The story was well written so a shout out to the directors scriptwriters and production staff for giving us, the viewers a story worth watching. The cast actors and actresses who went above and beyond and bought the story to life. A great binge watch. Thankyou for this little gem.. ❤️ x

Storyline.

I absolutely love japanese BLs. I haven't watched one yet that was bad. Japanese actors are extremely professional in their acting. They are really good at portraying every emotion verbally.. through facial expressions and body language. I fell in love with these two main actors.. Aoki with his mop of hair and big eyes
and Ida the more reserved quiet student. Aoki was the more excitable and paranoid about his feelings for Ida
as he started off trying to get together with Hashimoto a girl but developed feelings for Ida who is a male student and it all started with an eraser. I will watch it again. The storyline was great so a big thanks to the scripwriters.. Directors.. Production staff everyone behind the scenes and all the excellent actors who took part in this little gem of a series..

Superb

I didn't want this series to end it was that good.
It was a long series which sometimes puts you off watching it but I decided to have a look and after the first two episodes I was hooked.
Everyone of the cast did an amazing job.The two main actors Zheng ye and Xin yun who were drawn together by murder were first class actors..Lu feng and Luo fei couldn't be more poles apart in personalitys but they had a connection which drew them closer to each other to find out the truth. All in all one of the best crime dramas of 2023.Dont be put off by the 24 episodes. You will miss out.The
only other series which matches up is The Devil Judge.

Entertainment value..

I dont do big reviews..I get straight to the point. Fantastic series from start to finish.Bls like this are few and far between. It had every emotion happiness..sadness..fear.. disgust..
anger and sexual desire.All the actors were great especially two main leads. The episodes were long which isnt the normal but they could have been longer for me. If you want a good series it entails everything even if you dont like
the depravity..The 2 MLs were exceptionally good looking but being a more mature female
I couldnt get enough of Jarukit Toptap..hope we see him in more bls with minlee..Thankyou to all involved in this gem of a series and I hope the directors and scriptwriters pull another one out of the bag just like this series..❤️ xx
