Summit of Our Youth 🎓💕 gave me all the feels! Sun Zhen Ni was stunning 🌸 and Chen Jing Ke nailed it 😍 cold boss turned softie. Healthy romance = no toxic breakups 🙌 just cute little fights 😂. Chemistry was 🔥, acting fab, side characters fun (until fillers after ep20 🙄). Then boom… “it was all a dream” 🛌💭 BUT they both remembered 🥹💖. Sweet but sooo rushed, one more ep would’ve sealed the deal!🙄 Cdramas really can’t resist messing with endings 😅. Not groundbreaking, but a warm message of second chances ✅💌. Final verdict: 4⭐ out of 5 🎉 watch for the leads, skip the fillers, and enjoy the swoons!

Summit of Our Youth starts off like hot chocolate on a snowy day ☕❄️ sweet, warm, and full of crackling chemistry between boss-turned-tutor ML and stunning FL 😍. Their love story is healthy, no toxic breakups-just cute squabbles like a real couple 💕. But after ep 20 the drama says “let’s add fillers and villains” 🙄 and suddenly the smooth ride turns into a bumpy detour. Ending? Rushed like homework done five minutes before class 🏃‍♀️📚… still worth it for the leads’ sparkling acting!
Female lead Sun Zhen Ni - strong, stunning, and smart 💃🌸. Not the silly type, she really glows on screen.
Loved the male lead in this role – seriously, he was so good I almost wanted to fail my exams just so I could time-travel back to high school and meet a bossy tutor like him 🤭❄️. The ending? They pulled the old “it was all a dream” card, but honestly, the sweetest twist was that both of them actually remembered everything. Like, excuse me, this wasn’t just a dream, this was a full Netflix subscription in their brains 😂.
The romance 💕 = They fight sometimes 🙃 but no big toxic break-ups 🙅‍♀️. Just cute normal couple squabbles and quick make-ups 🥰. Super healthy relationship goals 💑✨.
The not-so-good part 😑= After episode 20 🚦 things got draggy. They threw in random villain arcs and fillers 🥱 which spoiled the sweetness. Ending felt rushed ⏳ like they wanted to wrap it all too quickly. Could have been so much smoother.
I actually didn’t mind the ending, but come on, could they not have stretched it one more episode to let us breathe? Give us at least one more date, one more hug, maybe one more slow-mo snowstorm type stare 👀. Instead they slammed the door shut like a parent catching you sneaking snacks at midnight 🍫🚪.
And why oh why do Chinese dramas love to pull these stunts? It’s like written in their drama constitution: thou shalt break up, thou shalt cry, or thou shalt confuse the audience in the last 15 minutes. Hello? I don’t want to imagine. If I wanted to imagine, I’d have written the story myself – and trust me, mine would’ve ended with a wedding, five kids, a villa, and a golden retriever 🏡🐶🤣. Lol seriously though, despite the “what the heck” ending, this drama was still a treat. I laughed, I swooned, I swore at my screen, and in the end I forgave them… mostly. 😑

Final thoughts 🏔️💫
Chemistry = 10/10 🔥😍. Acting = natural and heartfelt 🎭👏. Visuals = beautiful, especially the leads ✨🌹. Ending = meh, but the journey till then is very very enjoyable🌈🍵.

Summit of Our Youth starts off like hot chocolate on a snowy day ☕❄️ sweet, warm, and full of crackling chemistry between boss-turned-tutor ML and stunning FL 😍.
The cast totally delivered 🌟. Sun Zhen Ni as Gu Xue Jiao-stunning, mature, and absolutely convincing as a woman reliving her teenage years with adult wisdom. Chen Jing Ke as Lin Zhi Hua? He nailed it-cold boss on the outside, witty and surprisingly warm on the inside. Honestly, loved him even more here than in his other dramas 😍. Side characters like Gu Ming Ze (the lazy brother) and Zhou Shi Yun (the so-called friend-turned-villain) were fun at first, but after episode 20 the filler arcs (looking at you ex-bf, Gao Rui and Lin Zhi Yue 😅) felt like unnecessary padding.
The romance was pure gold 💕. Healthy relationship, normal little spats (like “why didn’t you tell me back faster” kind of fights 😂), but no toxic breakups. Their chemistry was natural, the acting fantastic, and the love story felt both lighthearted and heartfelt 💖.
Where it stumbled 🙃. After episode 20, the pacing slowed with filler and the “friend-turned-villain” storyline that didn’t really add much. And then the ending… classic Cdrama move. They went with the “it was all a dream” 🛌💭. But here’s the twist-they both remembered! That part was actually sweet and gave it meaning. Still, it felt rushed. One more episode of them together, happy and settled, would have made fans feel so much more satisfied. Instead, it ended like someone pressed fast-forward and then cut to black 📺🤣.

Now here’s my rant 🤣. Why do Cdramas always have to mess with the endings? It’s like a rule: thou shalt break up, make us cry, or leave us confused. I don’t want to imagine the rest-if I wanted to imagine, I’d be the writer myself. And trust me, my version would’ve ended with a wedding, three kids, a villa, and a golden retriever 🏡🐕💍. Instead, we’re left dangling at the finish line.
But still-this drama was such a fun ride in the first half. I laughed, swooned, rolled my eyes a few times, and forgave it… mostly 😏.Sure, it’s not the most unique love story or a groundbreaking romance, but it delivers the message of second chances beautifully. If I had one, it would definitely tick all the same boxes ✅💌.

Final verdict 🤩. Watch for the sizzling leads, the gorgeous acting, the healthy romance, and the heartwarming vibes. Maybe stop at episode 20 if you want to leave smiling. It’s funny, sweet, and worth the ride-even if the ending makes you go “huh?!”
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4 out of 5) - minus one star for the filler and rushed ending, but everything else was sweet, satisfying, and fun to watch.

Currently watching A Dream Within a Dream - playful escapades, romance, and meta‑comedy... so far its a laugh a riot.
Tastefully Yours -I'm told has - Romantic growth is constant, communication is mostly smooth, and the tone is warm with a dash of sexy and absolutely zero drawn-out misunderstandings. Not watched but on my list to watch
Second Shot at Love - is also a great option if you're after a clean-hearted, uncomplicated rom-com. This is also on my list to watch.

Also as reviewed below Flourished Peony- it is a mature, elegant romance rooted in business ambition, soft empowerment, and quietly sizzling partnership. It's perfect if you want a slow-burn connection without the sabotage or breakups-more “blooming peony” than “flaming drama.”

The First Night with the Duke - It delivers sweet romance, comedic fun, and just enough edge from royal scheming without leaning into painful misunderstandings or drawn-out love triangles. Who knew one drunken night could land you a husband, six kids, and a palace -talk about an overachieve
The First Frost - Fluffy, sweet, heartwarming modern romance, No major drama reported. Cozy, low-drama romance bliss. Just gentle longing and emotional closure.

🌸 Our Generation 🎪
This isn’t your typical break-up drama-mainly because they never officially got together 🤯. What you get instead is a circus tightrope walk of separations, letters, stubborn devotion, and teenage immaturity 😅. One is always holding on tightly to the other, which makes it more about growing up than breaking up.
Cherry 🌞 is sunshine in human form, she is like a solar-powered puppy 🐶☀️-always running, wagging, and shining even when the batteries of everyone else are flat.
Qiao Xi 🌧️ is the moody math genius who melts slowly, he is like a human raincloud 🌧️ with WiFi-broody, silent, but secretly downloading all the feelings. He sulks so hard it should be considered cardio, yet one Cherry smile and suddenly he is buffering into soft mode.
FL-her parents are absolute gems 🥰, ML- his mum is frustratingly controlling 😤, and the dad… well, let’s just say professional coward 🐓. The friendships are messy but beautiful 🫂, and the epilogue is a warm hug 💋 that makes the ride worthwhile.

🍰 If this drama were a dessert: Cherry is the sweet meringue, Qiao Xi the tart fruit, friends the whipped cream, parents the crumbs-and together it is a pavlova masterpiece.

⭐ 9/10 – Watch it for the nostalgia, the feels, and the laugh-cry-scream moments 😂😭. Bring snacks, tissues, and patience for the teenage drama, and you will love the journey.

🌸 Our Generation 🎪 - Loved it (but that is my opinion) but you may find it a bit so-so....😅

This drama is like a circus tightrope walk - one wrong step and you think the couple will fall apart, but nope, someone is always hanging on for dear life 🧗. And let’s be clear: although it looks like a “break up drama,” it is not. Why? Because they never officially got together yet! What you get instead is separation, misunderstandings, and a whole lot of childish (okay, immature 😅) push-and-pull.
Cherry 🌞 is the sunshine who never quits, Qiao Xi 🌧️ is the gloomy genius who sulks like it’s his full-time job, and her family? Absolute gems 🥰. His mum? Annoying, yes 😤… but fine, she thinks she’s doing her best. The dad? Professional coward 🐓. And the epilogue? Chef’s kiss 💋 - sweet closure that makes you forgive all the drama.

🍰 Silly Tidbit: If this drama were a dessert, Cherry is the fluffy meringue, Qiao Xi is the tart fruit, friends are the whipped cream, parents are the crumbs - annoying but necessary - and together it’s a pavlova masterpiece.

⭐ Rating: 9/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖

👉 Recommendation: Watch it! But watch with snacks, tissues, and maybe a pillow to scream into 😭😂. It’s not about mind-blowing twists, it’s about that messy, silly, heartwarming ride of growing up. Perfect for when you want to laugh, cry, and roll your eyes at the same time.

Flourished Peony & In the Name of Blossom - Here I go again, my 2 cents in...LOL
Two Tang-era dramas, one epic ride 🌸🔥 - boss-lady FL builds a peony empire 💼🏵️, swoony ML brings brains + brawn 😍⚔️, sisters-in-arms kick butt 💪, and justice blooms 🌟. Stunning visuals 🎨, no dumb breakups, just power moves, romance, and happy endings worth every binge minute 💕✨.
Why you need to binge this Tang-era gem? well...
🌸 Women with agency: He Weifang doesn’t wait to be saved - she saves, empowers, and leads with brains and peonies
🔥 Realistic, slow-burn chemistry: They go from convenience to comrades to committed, naturally and beautifully.
🎨 Vivid Tang visuals: Think lavish production, ideal costumes, and flower-scented scenes that scream historical elegance.
⚖️ Justice blooms: She stands up to corrupt officials, exposes plots, rescues women from abuse, and wins battles both in the court and in her heart.
💪 Sisters in arms FTW: A supportive circle of women who each carve their destinies — and the ending is a refreshing, no-breakup, happily-ever-after crescendo.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (9.5/10)

This is a romance that grows roots before it blooms-and trust me, both Tang-era parts pay off with style, strength, and sweetness.

Flourished Peony 🌸 & In the Name of Blossom 🌸🔥- A Tang Dynasty saga where peonies, power, and perfect partnership bloom.

Two parts, one glorious Tang-era ride, Flourished Peony gives you the set-up: FL 💼🌸 turns heartbreak into a peony empire, ML 😍 steps in with brains and brawn. Then In the Name of Blossom cranks up the stakes and the chemistry 🔥. Stunning visuals 🎨, no dumb breakups, just power moves, romance, and happy endings worth every binge minute.

Rating for the whole saga: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (9.5/10) 💕- that missing half star is for the two minutes I thought it would end badly and nearly needed CPR 💔🫠.
All in all this is a romance that grows roots before it blooms-and trust me, both Tang-era parts pay off with style, strength, and sweetness.

A Peony in Full Bloom (And My Heart on Fire) 🌸🔥

I know it’s already on your list, but I’m recommending it again because it’s that good.

Part 2 of the Tang-era saga Flourished Peony (国色芳华) dropped on 30 June 2025, and my heart’s been in recovery ever since. FL He Weifang is a divorced peony boss lady 💼🌸 who turns heartbreak into an all-women empire. He Weifang doesn’t wait for rescue, she is the rescue!. She builds a flower shop that’s more than a business; it’s a safe haven for women with rough pasts. Feminine and fierce? 100% yes.
ML Jiang Changyang looks polite… but under that calm exterior? Brains, bravery, and swoon levels that could cause heatstroke 😍. Together, their chemistry could light up the Great Wall. 📐e = ∑∞ⁿ⁼⁰ ¹ₙ🤓
It’s pure visual and cultural candy. The sets, costumes, and lighting are so stunning you’ll want to pause just to admire them. Every scene feels like stepping into a peony-scented painting 🎨.
It’s gorgeous, each and every scene like a peony-scented painting 🎨. No pointless breakups, no silly drama, just trust, teamwork, and a happy ending that made my heart do a victory lap.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (9.5/10) — that missing half star is for the two minutes I thought it would end badly and nearly needed CPR 💔🫠.

Deep Affection Eyes (2025) 👀💙
Slow-burn romance meets small-town secrets, with chemistry strong enough to power the grid ⚡. ML = broody but adorable, FL = blooms beautifully 🌸, grandmas = scene-stealing queens 👑, and little Jia Yua = pint-sized Buddha 👶🦉.
There was a “let’s divorce” moment 💔… but blink and they were back together. Relationship status went from “it’s over” to “what’s for dinner?” in 0.5 seconds. Whiplash level: Olympic.
Main gripe: villains ... especially the mother ..waltzed off without a scratch 😤. Epilogue? More like epilo-gone. We had plenty of reel left, but nope… someone added side fillers and pressed “wrap it up” and called it a day 🎬.

Rating: ⭐ 7.5/10
But hey, we can agree to disagree ... this is just my rant. It might be totally your cup of tea ☕, and you could rave about it… while I sit in the corner, sipping my own tea, side-eyeing the mother so hard she could trip over my glare. 😏

My ranting review on Deep Affection Eyes (2025) 👀💙
A small-town love saga mixing slow-burn romance, family secrets, and emotional healing… all soaked in gradual chemistry and serious friend power. Ye Meng and Li Jinyu are textbook “opposites attract” , his brooding kindness melts her big-city armour… until the past bursts in like an uninvited relative 🕵️‍♂️💔.
The friendship dynamics? Wholesome to the core 🍲. The chemistry? Strong enough to light up the grid ⚡. The grandmas? Absolute scene-stealing queens 👑. And little Jia Yua? Wise beyond his years, basically a pint-sized Buddha 👶🦉.
Now, about the “misunderstanding”… technically, there was a “let’s give each other time” / “I want a divorce” moment 💔 but before you could even blink, they were back together. No tears, no angst, just… poof, back on track. I got relationship whiplash so fast I am still icing my neck 🧊😅. So yes, this can go on the No Break-Up List, because the so-called “break-up” was basically a coffee break.

Main gripe: The villains , especially the mother , waltzed away into prison showing no real remorse more of crocodile tears, without any real punishment 😤. No poetic justice, no dramatic lightning bolts ⚡, not even a tripping-over-their-own-ego moment. And the epilogue… well, we had plenty of reel left in the finale 🎞️, but instead of giving us an emotionally rich wrap-up, they served a “quick pack-up and go home” ending. LOL 🤷‍♀️.

But hey, we can agree to disagree - this is just my rant. It might be totally your cup of tea ☕, and you could rave about it… while I sit in the corner, sipping my own tea, side-eyeing the mother so hard she could trip over my glare. 😏🙄😋
Rating: ⭐ 7.5/10
✅ Touching romance, adorable ML jealousy, grandmas who deserve their own spin-off
❌ Villain justice missing, epilogue speed-run, and a “break-up” so tiny it needed a magnifying glass 🔍.

Deep Affection Eyes 👀💙
A touching love story… but oh boy, this was a slow burn, and by slow, I mean “snail sipping tea in winter” slow 🐌☕❄️. I kept wanting to fast-forward ⏩, but also could not because what if I missed something juicy?
ML was charming ❤️ and his little jealous moments were adorable 🥒💚. FL was not my fave at first 😅, but she bloomed beautifully 🌸. She never got mad at his antics — just that quiet “you could’ve told me” disappointment 😔… but she forgave faster than my phone battery drains 🔋.
They talked about separating/divorcing 💔 but never actually did. No misunderstandings, no dramatic break-up, just lingering eye contact and some sighs.
Villains? Ugh 😤… they got off way too easy. Even the mother escaped without proper karma ⚡. Justice was more lukewarm tea than fiery retribution 🍵.
The ending was satisfying… but a little emotionally detached 🪁. Then again, maybe that is just reality.
Highlight reel? The two grandmas = pure gold 🏆, and little Jia Yua 👶🦉 stole every scene, wise old man trapped in a toddler body.

Overall: 7/10 ⭐. Worth watching for the sweet moments… but have snacks ready 🍿 and your skip button on standby.

But hey — this is my rant. It might be totally your cup of tea ☕, and you could rave about it while I sit in the corner side-eyeing the mother.

Hey hey 👀 just noticed Perfect Match is missing from your drama list! Thought you might’ve skipped it ‘cos you're allergic to breakups 😆 , but guess what? This one's got six couples and zero heartbreak. Yup, not one breakup in sight! Each pair gets their own screen time and happy ending buffet 🍰💖 Give it a go when you want something light, pretty, and packed with romance in bite-sized servings! 💑✨

Perfect Match is like ordering one bubble tea 🧋 and ending up with six flavours in the same cup.
Confusing? A little. 😅 ; Entertaining? Absolutely. 😍 This drama feels like six mini-romances got together and decided to take turns stealing the spotlight. And guess what? It actually works! 🎭💕
What I loved is how each couple gets their moment, no messy love triangles or dramatic breakups every five minutes. 🙅‍♀️💔 You get to fully invest in one love story before hopping to the next. It’s like a rotating buffet of romance. 🍰🍓 Win-win.
The cast? Gorgeous. ✨ Like, where do they find these people? Some performances were top-tier 🏆, some felt like they were still warming up 🔥but overall, it kept me watching. Even the ones who needed a little more seasoning still served enough flavour to stay on the plate. 🍜🎬
The story is light, sweet, and full of those feel-good moments that make you grin like a goof 🤭. Sure, it’s not deep or groundbreaking 🧠, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a colourful mix of love stories 💕, pretty faces 😍, and enough fluff to float a pillow fort 🛌🫧.

Would I rewatch it? Probably not the whole thing, but a few couple arcs? Yes, please! 🎯
Perfect Match? More like Perfect Platter. Take a bite 🍴, pick your fave 💑, and enjoy the ride 🎢.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4 out of 5 stars) Romantic 💖, fun 🎉, and binge-worthy , just a bit of seasoning short of perfection!

I concur with the below review from arpar 100 percent 🫡 My two cents here:
Love in the Time of Dead Bodies – A Coroners Diary Review 🕵️‍♀️💘
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 scalpels 🩺

So I watched The Coroners Diary and guess what it gave me forensic files meets soft romance with zero breakups and 100 percent emotionally stable main leads bless 💖
Our girl is a coroner who actually knows what she is doing no tripping over corpses or fainting at blood just rolling up her sleeves and getting to work like a queen 👑🧬
The male lead is smart caring a little awkward and completely smitten which we love he helps solve cases and catches feelings at the same time multitasking king 🕵️‍♂️💘
Their relationship is healthy like vitamins for your drama heart they talk they trust they work together and they do not break up even once imagine that 🍵
The mystery is good maybe not as twisty as The Imperial Coroner but it still had enough who did it energy to keep my detective brain entertained while my romantic heart swooned 💞
Final thoughts this drama gave me romance without the drama mystery without the confusion and a main couple who made me believe in functional love again 10 out of 10 would recommend with snacks and a blanket 🍿🛋️💕
