Then was trapped in an abandoned house for year before a sharman (yeomhwa) came and used him for her own motive basically wanting him to become a evil deity.
Then when he got freedom for the first time, friends and a girl he likes (even if its gyeon U's place) yeomhwa kept disturbing him, forcing him, giving him pain. As he said- why should he suffer or for the matter anyone of them.
He counter cursed her cuz she was hurting him, he didn't know it would cause seong A spirit mother to die, I feel he won't have if he knew.
So I guess the goes all to yeomhwa.
Ji ho made a mistake thinking he knew what was right but it wasn't. It's just that his actions triggered a series of events.
