People constantly bringing up Stockholm or lima syndrome seem to completely disregard what actual power dynamics are at play when it comes to vegas and pete.
pete isn't some random helpless person who was snatched from the side of the road or an innocent hostage. pete walked into the minor family compound knowing that there was a huge risk that he'd be caught. he even told kinn that he was fully aware that he would probably be caught, tortured and killed. he's fully aware of the risks his job entails and what kind of world he's a part of. i don't think there's any part of pete that saw vegas' torture of him as something personal he held against him. if someone had broken into the main family's computers and stolen secrets, he'd be doing the same thing. his main frustration comes from being kept alive for so long and that vegas threatened his grandmother, but even then that's just something the mafia would do.
so when he gets to know "the real vegas", it's not a hostage who is suddenly growing affectionate of their captor. pete is able to compartmentalize and differentiate between vegas, the man he's finally getting to know and feels affection for and vegas, the mobster who is just doing his job punishing a spy.
and the same thing is happening to vegas! he's getting to know the real pete and not just the man tasked to spy on him that he needs to punish and then kill. if anything he's having a harder time bc he's higher up in the food chain and right now he's fully failing at his job.

Fast forward however long and he hears about Kinnporsche, a book in which, readyā¦ the main character Kinn, is allegedly written with him (the real him, the Richy Rich him) as the main inspiration. Wild as hell, right? His family is so well known, a book character was inspired by his face and riches. Anyway, he goes all in because 1) gay men 2) wealth 3) mafia and murder. Itās right up his ally apparently, which is cool. Perfectly fine.
Now, letās rewind, because this is when it gets veryā¦ let me mind my businessā¦ because Mile used to model and came across a gorgeous guy named Apo. Brown skin, beautiful eyes, and a stunning smile. He logs that man into his memory bank for the next ten years. Yes, a fucking decade. At some point during that decade however, Apo sees Mile at their college gym, because apparently fate really wanted them to interact, but unlike shy little Mile (heās actually ripped and two years older than Apo, but whatever) Apo thinks *Oh, hey, itās the hot guy from that modeling gig!* and decides to go TELL MILE TO HIS FACE THAT HE IS HOT!?!? (Seriously, balls of steel, because Mile is hot but also has extremely intimidating eyebrows and Apo just did that. Okay.) and that was that.
UNTIL!!! Mile lands word of Kinnporsche and somehow was able to get in touch with the right people to get them to call Apo (WHO LEFT THE COUNTRY due to being constantly ridiculed and shamed by Thai media for his assumed sexuality and femininity ā hope all those people go bankrupt) and present Kinnporsche to himā¦ okayā¦ and he flew from New York back to Thailand (mainly because the panorama caused lockdown so he chose to go home ā which he said he never would have done had not for the pandy, which is sad to think about) to do the whole audition process because hot guy from that modeling gig and the gym was auditioning for Kinn.
They audition and do workshops to master their chemistry and all that good stuff and film the first episode which was more like a short teaser to get sponsors, and do interviews and all the expected stuffā¦ then the show gets dropped because the original production company went bankrupt or something, idk. People are sad and nothing is said for some time about what will happen.
Jump to 2021 and boom. New teasers. New photos. Fans are curious as to what is going on, and bam! New production company comes out of nowhere: Be On Cloud.
KP's quality was no surprise given that they literally had more than a years worth of workshop due to unforeseeable problems... then their budget was no joke as well given the investors they had after P'Mile stepped up with his own 9-digit investment, Maserati's sponsorship, and the 10 million baht P'Mile acquired from his "connections", as well as Be On Cloud's adoption of the entire project after P'Mile's relentless convincing.
It would be embarrassing if they didn't present such quality after the all the investment the project received from one of thai industry's richest actor and heir of one of Thai's richest businessmen.
I donāt know enough about this next year, so Iām just gonna say what most everyone else is saying, because it seems very plausible and is kind of confirmed at this point. Richy Richā¦ Iām sorry, Mile Phakphum Romsaithong, heir to like half a Thai city, invested and or created a production company in order to keep Kinnporsche alive and running. He hired the showrunners, the screen writers, and all that jazz and apparently doesnāt actually get paid as an actor for this show, becauseā¦ baby heās wealthy-wealthy. He also encouraged his new bestie Apo to invest, allegedly, and Apo, being the seasoned vet of an actor that he is, has what looks like a lot of creative input over not only his own scenes but all the scenes and fight choreography and so on.
