Also i have watched some of this type but whenever someone asks for recs. My mind goes blank n for love of god…
I can relate lol, that's why I keep track on MDL. Vietnamese movies song lang and goodbye mother are some I can think of. hoping someone will recommend more.
can anyone recommend me movies of similar vibe, the rural settings and representations of different unique cultures. country doesn't matter. fell thoroughly in love with this movie with the way it was presented. it was a very intriguing watch. straight ones are fine too. just wanna explore different cultures.
commenting here bc its trending I just want to know if any of you guys know about a site or an app where you can put dramas/movies you really liked and then get recommendations based on that?
wow this was a crazy ride. absolutely loved it. it was hard watching through all the bullying and violence, but those do happen in real life. hats off to the message they're trying to send, including everybody's perspectives. the final scene with the throwback to their childhood was painful to watch but also gave closure. great direction, great casting, great acting and overall terrific drama.
I feel like if they kept this bromance with hinted romance, it might have been more believable. not hating, I loved the plot and the serious and very necessary topics discussed. but the romance between them didn't flow well, every romantic convo felt sudden and out of place. probably because they had to squeeze everything in to 8 EPs. I wonder if they thought people wouldn't watch if they didn't include a kiss lol.
fairly good Thai drama. actors did well and the cinematography was beautiful. everything about the main topic and how they tried to send a positive message to the audience is praiseworthy. although the romance didn't convince me. it felt as if there were so many gaps between each of their interactions, which I believe is due to the fact that they had to prioritise the main storyline and fit everything in to 8 episodes. overall a well made drama compared to other Thai bls.
good watch, pretty sure a part two will be released in 2025 to wrap everything up. but I gotta say, I had huuuuge expectations because I loved season 1. this isn't bad per say. but it lacked the intriguing aura of the 1st season. probably because we already knew the story. but no matter how famous these actors in season 2 are, their characters fail to give as strong of an impression as season 1 cast did. they were all new faces for me but they are right here in my heart to this day. they were phenomenal, also it feels like the writers had put more effort in to creating those characters than they did for this season. I'm not complaining it's just I love squid games too much to see it losing it's value.
if you're looking for the same vibes but something shorter and more romance and friendship focused, I heavily…
you're welcome. I'd love to hear what dramas you reccomend as well. I feel like our taste is somewhat similar. and whc1??? more like I'm obsessed with it. haha. it's a pain waiting for the s2. hyunwook not being there takes away most of my enthusiasm, but it is what it is...

your mdl dp is my twitter dp haha. prettiest picture ever! sadly I don't have much else with the same vibes. the only one I can think of right now is "boyhood" you probably have already seen it. I watched and liked go back couple which was similar as it was mostly set back in time, also "my perfect stranger". both handle the topic of time travel so not quite the same as these.
I wish we got to see more of mi ae. their friendship was magical and the wedding scene brought me to tears. it was so damn cute. I haven't seen the movie yet but I guess it will be more about their dynamic and I'm so looking forward to it.
