I understand how the trauma works but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be forgiven. No one said forgive him and move on, I’m saying forgive him for his mistakes but that doesn’t mean he should be held accountable either. To be held accountable entails a lot of things including restraining order from the victims, any minor, caution to certain career paths, being on probation for a longer period of time after jail time, being on the watchlist etc. but regardless of past mistakes mostly after the person asks for forgiveness or lead a changed life, they shouldn’t be treated less than any human too.

I understand why most of you are complaining about casting an ex con but before we cast a stone or judge others, we should firstly, look inward and ask if we are pure. I’m not saying that what he did wasn’t wrong or neither am I defending him but after the hideous crime he committed, he served time (which was short to some or not not enough punishment) but we should respect the Korean law and forgive him. Instead of looking for ways to blacklist him as an actor or celeb, why not look for ways to make changes to the law because there are some many criminals that walk the streets everyday but because you don’t get to Se them on tv doesn’t mean they ain’t out there. The case happened since 2001 but he has been on screen for quite some time so clearly whatever comments or tarnishing you think your doing isn’t clearly working so why not try another approach and looks for ways to make it better society in large? Clearly, some many of their doesn’t little of no harm or punishment to convict so it better ti go after the system than the ex convicts.
P.s. If since the incident that occurred, he hasn’t shown any trait or behavioral patterns to make us believe he’s going to do it again then why not give him the benefit of a doubt whilst watching him closely?
