Honestly, I'm still hoping that she'll be paired with AJ in a future series- one where they're not teacher and student- because damn their chemistry was palpable!
My question is what is the relationship of Jeng to Jaab? And how come Jaab don’t tell Pat he knows his boss?…
Yeah cousin is currently my top guess which is definitely my headcanon until proven otherwise. I was not expecting that sort of close relationship between them but I'm really loving it! A pleasant surprise and I'm super intrigued; I can't wait to learn more about them. For two really intimidating looking men, their dynamic's so adorable, entertaining and endearing!
Thanks. I feel like you have to feel frustration and maybe even anger for something to be aggressively awful -…
No I knew exactly what you meant as soon as I read it! I had yet to find a term for that very specific emotion. For me, aggressively awful would be something so dumb, that it's frustrating and irritating, so much so that it hurts your brain and makes your brain throb. It's a very specific brand of pain lol

Yeah Hia is used for an older male whom you are close to, usually familial; so it's fair to think that it's his older brother but I personally don't think that's the case. I think that Jaab is Jeng's cousin, family friend or even step brother mainly because I think Jaab's friends would know if he were the son of that former rich and powerful CEO (Jeng's dad). While you might not know all of your friends' siblings, it's more likely for who your parents are to come up in conversation especially if they are rich, powerful and with a possible inheritance. Later, in Jeng's family house, we also see a photo of Jeng and his parents that I think is in front of their house? No siblings present. Plus Jeng's obviously rich enough to not have to live with a roomie or sibling if he didn't want to. So it seems that they are close by choice!
Spending time with your crush does not make you forget about them, but the contrary. What was with that advice…
Jeng's advice made perfect sense to me. You know besides the fact that as a viewer you can definitely see where Jaab and Jane's relationship might go. He's treating Jaab's feelings as a crush or just an attraction and his advice would aid in the process of figuring out if it's just that, an infatuation or if it's genuine feelings. Aka if it's even worth pursuing or not, especially if they're a fellow coworker that you have to see all the time! Spending a lot of time with someone that you're attracted to humanizes them and can show you their flaws that might not be so noticeable from a far when you're infatuated. You get to know them and see them as a person rather than someone you idolize and put up on a pedestal. And a lot of the time that can cause your feels to change or fade as the initial umph of the awe of attraction wears off.
But I mean that doesn't always happen and if it's not just a fleeting crush then it'll make the feelings a lot stronger.. which I have a feeling is going to be the case this time lmao
I'm pretty happy with the steady quality and pacing of this series so far, as well as the dept of the characters. Even if it's slower paced. I mean it is called Step by Step for a reason (though I am impatiently waiting for more episodes and content :/)
Ok thank you for saving me hours of my life! I will be taking this one off my list lol and btw I love that term. "Aggressively awful" is such a descriptive phrase which unfortunately describes lots of dramas nowadays... I will definitely be using that term in the future
im hesitating if i should give this a second chance, its just the first ep anyway but i find many filler scenes,…
Unfortunately I agree with all of your points. I felt the exact same way; I didn't have that high of expectations but I was pretty disappointed which seems to be an unpopular opinion. If I can bring myself around to watch the next episode, hopefully it picks up and improves content wise. But I do gotta say that it did get a bit more intriguing when Pee/Phat finally entered the scene.
The music supervisor is doing the most. They need to literally chill
Like I literally didn't know that Joong was a good singer until I heard him sing live in an interview; my jaw DROPPED. The "background music" was so loud that it completely skewed the vocals on the SIMM ost
😂😂 I know right? All of the comments are about Dunk
Yeah exactly, me too. I just hope that if he sees any of these criticisms that he takes them as critics and not just people hating on him. You know like take the criticisms as insight/feedback and use it to pinpoint the areas that need some work...
