I m on episode 21 n I m still unable to warm up to the female lead character. Actually it's very hard to bear her character n understand her. She is coming across as very selfish but as we were told she is female lead we have to ignore her selfish cold traits which in other dramas r usually traits of a negative female ckt. Like in other dramas a negative female ckt would want to marry for personal gains n keep her family safe n would do bad things to everyone around her who wants to come in her way while using people who r loyal to her n gave her their genuine heart n honesty. I really would have still connected to her if she was betrayed by her husband in her previous souls life, but it turned out her husband was actually very devoted to her n truly loved her n strived to save her n even saved last of her family blood i.e her sister. So he was a good man to her still she never loved him too, he was just power hungry which is expected from someone who is going to become future emperor but he did love her, so her coldness n selfishness is coming from birth not becos circumstances made her so. She is unable to love n warm upto people but wants to use them n their love towards her for her goals. Even after both ML n SML did so much for her, she don't even feel a bit of gratitude towards them n feels so entitled. I just hate her ckt at this point.
Ps. Meng ziyi being divinely gorgeous is the only thing in favor of her ckt. She is a total red flag otherwise.

I agree 8.2 is it's fair rating according to the quality of this drama but if I compare how other dramas which r not deserving to be rated high r rated so high here, then 8.2 is low for this drama.

I wonder if it's becos of too many black drafts n it's consequences ☹️ when talking with He laoshi by the end it felt he will start crying 😭 I m depressed seeing him like that. ☹️

Watching the recent dormitories episode i felt like crying watching JC by the end 😭 it seems he has lot of pressure n tensions in life which he keeps to himself😭 n is very emotionally vulnerable. How can anyone spread stupid rumors about such a guy!? Those devils should be ashamed n rot in hell!

Was it only me who felt JC was stuttering here more as if feeling scared n under confident? Usually he doesn't stutter this much.

+1. Such soothing vibes it had becos of seaside town aesthetics.. I rarely rewatch dramas but this one I will surely rewatch after some time.

Why is this rated so low? MDL raters have become weird! They will rate good dramas low while rating average dramas so high that I start disliking the drama seeing the overhyped rating not justifying the drama quality.

Meng ziyis this ckt is so much similar to her recently filming drama ckt shen miao. Even the styling is so similar. I wonder won't it feel repetitive then in that drama, the same type of cold calculating though the theme of that drama is mainly revenge seeking it would feel shen xihe is back as shen miao. Lol.

Started this n watched only till epi 7! Can't say it's very engaging or intriguing or anything unique but I m watching n continuing it for the visuals of the leads😹 Meng ziyi is looking ethereal beauty in this! N He yu is equally matched in looks with her. So their chemistry is worth continuing this.

Is that it? Then I hope this drama also gets many reservations before it airs. I just feel bad whenever I see it's reservation r not going much up. Whereas XZ n WHD dramas surpassed 1 million mark, so I just feel he is also as famous as them there, still then why his fans r not competing in this there, so the answer to me seems that they r deliberately not reserving this maybe becos of beef with FL. So I felt it's so stupid to sabotage their favs highly anticipated drama just for a stupid beef.
