the budget was clearly already low, then they had to replace one of their actors (zhang hao wei) with a different one (li xin ze). rather than re-shoot scenes, AI must've been cheaper money and time-wise. yes it sucks and i hate it just as much as everyone else, but maybe it's cuz i've been waiting too long for this drama to be released that i'm just happy we can finally see it now, regardless of what criticisms i have concerning the show and its editing.

so here's a friendly disclaimer: don't come into this drama with high expectations. give some grace to the team for doing the best they could with what they were given.

No it wasn't his fathers company or anything to do with his father. In the novel n in the drama he is very self reliant becos he has this stubbornness to prove to his dad that he doesn't need his money to become more successful than him.
