We don't see love in gilchae as much as Jh what hurt me the most is she married him in the end, Whats wrong with…
But that is my point? In this episode there was nothing she could do for him. She's barely in it and we don't even know if he sees her right away. I'm also finding it hard to imagine what she could do for him while there when she has zero power and her life is at stake at any point.
But I have faith in the writer. We saw Jang Hyun with all the pov and I'm sure we'll get Gil Chaes next.
Nah they definitely have sex in their first night, you can see that her hair was down from the second scene after…
She agreed to marry him because she thought Jang Hyun was dead. She was already considered old at that point and for 3 years he had been good to her and her family.
Are you looking at this from a 2023 perspective or the 1600s on which the show is set in?
yeah same thoughts like I hope the love triangle plot doesnt repeat and the ML wont always have to go save FL…
I hope he continues to be what you call a doormat and gets walked all over on by her. All the while they have a good old fashion affair. Rooting for you to watch every minute of it ‼️
The hatred of Gil Chae is so ridiculous, it baffles me. It's like everyone's watching a different show than me.…
We will have to agree to disagree. We barely saw her this episode. Gil Chae chose the life she chose. She is obviously not in love with her husband. But considering this was supposed to be the end for Jang Hyun and her (as she told him to forget her in her letter) I dont see a problem with her being content and accepting in her choice.
People want her to suffer and be miserable so bad. Yall will get your wish coming up.

More than that. The woobifying of Jang Hyun like he's not part of the reason they ended up the way they did. Like he didn't know from early on her feelings were elsewhere for another man. Or how he did not have to go to Simyang just because Gil Chae wouldn't lie to him about her feelings for YeonJun. He's just as terrible at communication and has said just as many hurtful things as she has. But unlike Gil Chae whose whole life and responsibilities are in Hanyang, he wouldn't be sacrificing anything to be with her. Not people he cares, not even his reputation.
Like she said, she knows Gil chae better than she knows herself. After watching from the beginning over 10x i realized…
Can I add that she was going to meet him the morning after their time in Hanyang to return the clothes and was excited until she found the dagger and assumed it was from another woman. She even asks herself what did she hope/expect from a man like him.
She def liked him early on and Jong Jong aswell points out she allows him to get close unlike other men.
really frustrated with the scriptwriting and characters. gil chae was shameless enough to chase after yeonjun…
It's not hypocrisy. There is this thing called character growth. Not to mention, it's not the same situation for multiple reasons, from their socioeconomic situation and status to the gifting of the chest, which was basically the equivalent of Gil Chae becoming the soldier's wife and adultery having significant and even deadly consequences. Add in Eun Ae, knowing Gil Chae wasn't truly in love with Yeon Jun, and it's really not similar or hypocritical at all.
Are you intentionally ignoring the year the characters are in and the dialogue where Won Moo states it's not illegal for him to kill his adulterous wife and her lover? That's the entire reason they have to run away.
Reputation was pertinent back then, and Gil Chaes was already in tatters. Her breaking off an engagement to a man a few days before and being with another is not realistic. Won Moo is supposed to be a high-ranking military soldier. While he may have been willing to let her leave, I highly doubt she'd be allowed to play in his face blatantly like that. Not to mention the repercussions it would have on her family.
There are 10 episodes left. And the Crown Prince still has 3 years of captivity after the two-year time jump at the end of episode 10. Their running away together makes no sense whatsoever, character-wise. Gil Chae grew out of her selfish, frivolous ways, and her naive belief in love conquers all, while Jang Hyun is still the same as when we met him and is always on the move. Time and lack of quality time together (which is needed to understand each other) is their biggest enemy.
I really enjoyed the first 30? or so episodes before the time skip and even held on after they reunited with banshee mother in law styill going crazy but jeez. Not a single thing or character makes sense. I honestly dont know what the point of this show was after episode 35/36? Its so disapointing because it did so well in the beginning. 😭
But I have faith in the writer. We saw Jang Hyun with all the pov and I'm sure we'll get Gil Chaes next.

Cheating has been around forever. People acting scandalized or like the show is ruined is a choice.
