One of the best YAI films. I really loved Dong Joo. Both of them are fantastic duo-leads with brilliant performances. The story is actually much more unpredictable than I expected, which makes it very interesting, and some of the more wholesome moments hit very strong. The comedy bits with the church and Wan Deuk's crush really made me laugh. Calling this "Punch" is pretty misleading, since there's not really much action, and whatever sports action there is becomes just a medium for the MC to find an outlet for all his street fighting and aggression.

Kinda only watched it for YAI. I liked his parts, but the chemistry with the FL was not there. I don't mind age-gap romances (I love Secret Love Affair), but neither the writing or the acting in this were able to sell their relationship to me. The other couples were sweet, but nothing special to watch.

Title #Alive
A refreshingly grounded take on zombie thrillers, utilizing pretty much a single location (apartment block) to great effect, creating a “shelter-in-place” scenario during a zombie outbreak. There's only two leads, but their performances are excellent, and the steady build of tension and horror is palpable. YAI kills this role. I kinda felt like this whole thing was a movie about how young people cope with anxiety and how they use new technology to communicate with each other. It's pretty obvious the MC is a shut-in or NEET, but I think the zombies represent the anxiety he feels trying to deal with other people, who he feels want to harm him. Very interesting film, with zero melodrama. Third act could have used some more fleshing out though.

This movie doesn't focus on the actual survival aspect of the zombie story. It's never meant to be unpredictable. The whole thing is a metaphor for how introverted people see the outside world, especially if they suffer from anxiety or trust issues and/or have difficulty socializing in person. Unfortunately, I think this didn’t quite reach people given how they portrayed it.

Of all the stupid decisions that stupid characters make in zombie movies, this film features some of the stupidest
MC's portrayed as an idiot. The characters did not always do the absolutely smartest things - they were overwhelmed by fear, by the loss of hope, by the loss of their families. The whole survival aspect of the zombie story was not even emphasized for this exact reason. It's more about the isolation, shock, and the hopelessness.

Trying to decide whether to watch this first or the JP original. I've usually always disliked korean adaptations of original jdramas.

Honestly, the ending was way better than I expected, but it really needed more episodes to be fleshed out as it felt rushed. Looks like the possibility of a S2 is there.. and I honestly really liked what happened with the ex-wife at the end, cause this is honestly a better way of life for her than how she's been living till now controlled by her family. I think there's still hope of finding out why she betrayed him in the first life and possibly getting her and LHY together. Huge twist on valentine's day though.

Also love that KSJ sticks to his twisted ideals of justice until the end, while showing he has a little goodness in him, as I'm so tired of villains redeeming themselves. I kind of love the take this drama takes on justice being "a sense of fairness and common sense of what's right and wrong." It's really such a simple concept, but people like KSJ twist it so far for their own goals believing they're in the right.

Definitely not worthy of a second run. And the justice so vaunted by the righteous words of the ML was still broken…
How did you somehow miss when he said at the end that he's going to be atoning for his past sins in this life? Without him breaking all those rules and using somewhat dirty methods against these dirty politicians, none of this corruption would have been rooted out as much as it was in the finale. He can EASILY live a peaceful life and take advantage of his second chance, but he's going to stick to spending his life atoning for his past sins by continuing to help those who need him in the courtroom.

The last few (1/2) episodes remind me so much of 'dynamite kiss'. Excellent drama with a great premise, but a…
It's cause the ending is original. The webtoon is still ongoing but the novel is finished. This should have been longer so the ending could have been fleshed out.

What doesn't make sense? It all makes sense so far. Literally everything falls under his main goal to make sure…
Possibly, but not everybody is leader material like KSJ and the ex-president, and all those politicians involved could be arrested and exposed by the time KSJ is destroyed.

Is the ex-wife character supposed to be cute and funny? To me, she’s more annoying. Imo, It’s the prosecutor…
Again, I like your points, but the drama so far has not neglected that. Even in the latest episode LHY remembers those painful moments, so clearly it has to be addressed at some point for him to fully want to be with her. From what I've seen so far, his ex-wife has had to put up a tough exterior because of her horrible family. She clearly knows anyone she marries will be a puppet of her family, which is why she even warns LHY to stay away from her, when she starts to genuinely like him. We have seen a lot of changes in the ex-wife in this second life, because LHY is sticking to the person he wants to be. If you look again at the first episode, the ex-wife only stopped caring about LHY, because he himself changed and became a puppet of her family rather than a proper husband and life partner for her.

Yeah I'm not bothering defending, especially when you say there's no purpose to the other four main characters when they clearly have their own stories, personalities, and goals. They drive the plot forward in so many ways. If you don't see that, your opinion is just invalid.
