In the original story, Adachi was way more annoying and stupid who can't do anything on his own. I prefer this version of Achi who at least has a personality and also not stupid. They tried to highlight Karen too much here as very green flag, too perfect, always give 100% and his personality just revolving around Achi. It is very unrealistic. It makes that they are not equal in a relationship, which looks Achi less worthy.
