I mean you can't really add battles that didn't happen in real life just so it doesn't get boring. There's only so much you can alter in these real event based shows.

yeah for sure. I was big bored and thought the saloon/makeup artist storyline was nonsense and random. (still very convenient that it was like that) But yeah, by the end line it got pretty good.

No idea how this got this high of a rating. Maybe because I thought xiao se was the MC ? He was a non existence mickey mouse MC.(can say hes the side character tbh) I gave up after eps 20 and finished the remaining eps in like 30 mins. He had like one proper fight through out the whole series . (debateable if its even proper) . Even if this was supposed to be a 'setup' season, kind of boring. Was expecting a MC focused wuxia action so maybe i had wrong expectations.
