Da SiMing is evil even in the novel. But I think he became like that because he wasn't able to be with the Empress in the first place and she died eventually. Moreover, he's using Shi Ying for revenge when he can do it himself lmaooo. He's literally the strongest person in Kong Sang, if I remember correctly.

After watching the episodes, I noticed that they changed the plot and is very different from the novel. I truly understand cuz the novel is a bit dark imo. But I still enjoyed it though. Can't wait for future episodes.

I agree with you haha but actually Zhu Yan is more annoying in the novel. Like literally annoying😂 the Zhu Yan we got in the drama is her bearable version, i guess😭
