Am I the only one confused as to why she wants to cancel their engagement? I'm still on ep 14 btw. She said she…
She wants someone she can control, and someone she will be able to fight back incase their alliance fail. So knowing CP is just pure pretense, she backs put bc of the obvious political reasons that she cant fight head on with him in time comes.
Oops i skipped the part that She only said she will marry for love, is just an excuse!
The only thing I would want them to change from the novel is:
It was super late that FL begun to have real feelings of live towards the ML. He waited for too long, and after they were married it was still one sided from ML.
This cdrama plot is completely new to me. And it got me hooked. Story wise, it is not complex, nor has it the brawls and amazing fight scenes. It was such a wise decision to cast BAI LU and CHENG LEI. they portrayed the characters very well. I am saying this after watching ep32. I am heartbroken. And I am healed.
This tugged the deepest seated emotions in me. Esp YE LI. oh how i pity her, and i adore her at the same time.
Two broken souls, by fate entwined, Found harbor in the other’s shore— He, of the steel and vengeful mind, She, of the ghosts that haunt the door. His war-worn heart, once cold and grim, Sought mercy in her hollowed gaze; She found a steady light in him To guide her through her spectral maze. He takes her hand, though crippled, bound, And pledges strength to hold her fast; She hears his vow, a sacred sound, To anchor her against the past. They weave a pact, a solemn breath, To defy the grief that left them torn— Defying time, and loss, and death, Two lonely hearts, at last, reborn. Beneath the weight of sorrow’s crest, They stand as one, and fear no night; In one another, finding rest— A quiet, everlasting light.
For eight long years, the silence grew, A hollow guest within her halls, Where shadows stretched and spirits flew, In rhythmic sighs against the walls. She walked a path of solitude, Where dust and memory held their sway, Until the ache, in quiet mood, Began to tear the veil away. Now, phantoms dance in gilded light, The ghosts of love, reborn in air; She greets them in the dead of night, And finds a warmth in what’s not there. They smile with lips of winter mist, They touch her cheek with breath of frost— A tragic, spectral, whispered tryst To hold the loves that she has lost.
Eight years he has bowed to the floor, A broken sword, a shattered blade, While vengeance paced behind the door, And debts of blood remained unpaid. His iron spine may bend and break, Yet in his chest, a furnace burns— For every life the shadows take, A righteous, hollow fire returns. He watches her—that lonely queen— Trapped in her house of shifting ghosts; He knows the sights that she has seen, The phantom prayers, the silent hosts. He knows her mind is lost to storms, A fragile ship upon the sea; Yet he would guard her spectral forms, And tether her to reality. Though he is scarred and she is frayed, He seeks to be her final wall; To shield her where the spirits fade, And love her best, through it all.

🔥 🔥 🔥. Now I can see a contender beside YAN ZHENG. (I like him more than Xie Zheng)

The comedic timing was gold.
🤣🤣🤣
