He is a dark practitioner. Some dark lord is controlling him to search for taoist couples to unlock some treasure. But in the process, he fell for the FL while matchmaking both main leads. But is outright rejected by the FL because she only had eyes for the ML. What I liked about most in this drama, is that despite the rejection from FL, there is no sense of awkwardness between them. They treat each other as best friends.
