Who's lying and what's made up? He kidnapped her brother and then "saved" him wanting to gain her gratitude while saving her family from disgrace-if that's not playing the hero, I don't know what is. I don't dislike his character but he's definitely acting on his own without double checking the repercussions, or at least covering his tracks. Also, the writers make sure they give us reasons they won't end together to make the main cp make sense, bc of all the age gap and politics. Everything has to be like that. If the 2ML was ideal and his actions proved it, would the "I just love the ML" be enough to root for the main cp? Him being late understanding how feelings work is his loss. The 2ML really knows how to do things his own way. He doesn't know how to navigate society. We all knew he wouldn't be endgame the minute he hit her and he's really trying to help but unfortunately he doesn't see her as an equal. He fancies himself a hero in shining armour but most of the time he's giving her problems instead of solutions. I don't know how kowtowing to her mother will play out, but by doing so he's given fodder for people to gossip and his family to intervene. It's as if he doesn't know how society treats women at that era.

I hate to say this but she did the best thing as a mother, considering her shortcomings.

At the end, when they're kissing,he lifts her up and puts her on a sketching table. He removes his jacket and his hand hovers between their torsos. It's like instinct "remove the tie or get a feel". Lol I couldn't stop laughing

There's actually a split second when she's on the worksurface where his hand instinctively almost reaches a certain no no area for a romcom (but quite natural when all this is real) and then he lowers it to her waist.

I'm liking this series more by the episode!
