The business are what makes this drama interesting, keeps the story flow, not a single boring moment. Don't worry, the business matters are not that heavy, it's easy to understand and it' s more like a success story than business to me. And the romance is there since episode 1. Not plenty of it at the beginning. ML already attracted to FL since the very beginning, and although the romance is slowburn, but definitely worth the wait.

I guess that's why Xu si never apologize for "betraying" jianghu, because in his point of view, he's not betraying her, he's trying to find the perfect solution for every party. Jianghu should have more faith in him. If ke keeps silent, maybe there's something more to it. But that drunk slap in front of media and that "so i'm the kind of person in your heart" hurt him deeply. They both were hurting, not only jianghu.

Well said. Xusi loves her more than she loves him. I guess he hesitated to tell jianghu about the merger before because he haven't completed his plan B. He was afraid of how jianghu will react to it. He was trying to find the perfect moment while trying to postpone the merger and searching for plan B.

In my opinion JH was able to let go of TY since she learned that her father wasn't God, his father made a lot awful sinful things before, thus his legacy is not something admirable anymore, then she leave tengyue and she moved to cloud footware.

I'm also a GJ fans, GJ is my only chinese actor crush (since i'm new to cdrama). I watched all of GJ dramas, but this is the best of all of his works. You won't be dissapointed.
What i don't understand that jianghu rent the factory land for 2 years (trade it for 51% share), but tengyue factory demolished and moved only after 1 year?

Xusi mortgage almost all his assets to lend money to buy tengyue shares (he's not a billionaire spending money carelessly, he's not born with golden spoon, he worked hard to achieve his fortune). And if sacrifice his career and almost all his fortune (and he went abroad, not sitting there waiting for jianghu return to him immediately after receiving his "money") is not enough to prove his love..then i don't know what is love meant to you

Finally..i always thought like that. From ML POV everything he did was for the sake of FL. And now they labelled him redflag/ villain who took everything from FL. He's at fault for delaying to inform FL, but if FL can forgive others, why can't she do the same to him.

I agree with you. People forget what has xusi done early in helping tengyue. From the day jianghu sells 51% of her share to baoxing, she should know that this merger bound to happen.
All the characters portrayed here are human beings with flaws (except our nice guy yangjian perhaps). Nobody's perfect. That's make this drama so close to reality. As for xusi, i believe he's not coldblooded like zhaoyang said to him when visiting tengyue. I think everything he does meant well for the sake of tengyue. He doesn't have the power to stop the acquisition right now so he stays in baoxing to preserve tengyue in a goodstate to return it to jianghu.
This drama has amazing cinematography. Almost like watching a movie. I can tell for sure that this is not a lowbudget drama. The soundtracks are beautiful too, but sometimes the song lyrics crammed with the subtitle makes it hard to read the subtitle.
Is it just me or does anyone else think Xu Si (ML) was the one who gave informance about the other shoe company…
Right..i haven't thought about it, but now that you mention it, i think it is so likely. How come yangjian knows about that old man from cloud footware. And yangjian who used to hate xusi seems soften a little bit mentioning xusi to jianghu.
