All dramas with romance are targeted towards the female audience. This show fails to understand that, whoever the targeted audience is, people generally want to root for the ML and don't appreciate seeing him being cucked. But some writers fetishize this kind of behavior.

Incentivizing people to have kids is not the same as forcing people to have kids. The goal is to make sure that the human race survives and thrives into the distant future. Right now, because of widespread anti-natalism, entire countries, cultures, and peoples will vanish.

Interestingly, the low birthrate issue is a first-world problem. The third world has no problems with having kids. We should encourage everyone to have children because the future of the human race is at stake. Don't worry, in about 20 years, you'll look at countries like Japan, South Korea, and many countries in Europe, and you'll remember this conversation.

Governments have been incentivizing behaviors in humans since antiquity. So it's only fair for government to incentivize what good for society. People getting married and having children is the right thing to do, especially if you're South Korea, Japan, and China. Population collapse will not be pretty.

I disagree. We need a lot more pro-marriage, pro-family, pro children message in these dramas. This anti-marriage mentality is the primary reason why we're facing a low birth crisis all over the developing world. Unless we turn this around, entire countries will disappear. So I hope these governments wake up before it's too late. We need to propagandize the public towards getting married and having children. That's the right thing to do.

Given how in love those two are, marriage and kids would've been a fitting ending. Instead, they went with a subtle anti-marriage message, which I find weird.

I get this explanation, but the drama makes it seem like she cares more about her career than marrying this man she's madly in love with. Given how long they've been dating, they should've just kept the whole marriage conversation out of it.

HOT TAKE: I loved this drama overall, but the ending left me a bit disappointed. She shouldn't have poured cold water on his wish to marry her for her career. This guy helped her build up her confidence and reclaim her career. Yet they made it look like she's picking her career over marrying him. By the end, it felt like the show was quietly promoting living together and a career over getting married to the person who absolutely loves and is devoted to you. Marrying the RIGHT person early is infinitely better than becoming a corporate slave. Cohabitation is NOT the optimal arrangement as it often degrades relationships over time. I can't believe they've subtly pushed this anti-marriage message while China is in the midst of a low birthrate crisis. The CCP should decree that every show should end with a happy marriage and children. lol
