The story is shown from the perspective of the leads and not the villain. That's why we don't see that. I think it reflects how they have moved on. What happens to him doesn't matter to the ML. All while we were thinking he wants revenge, he proved that he actually wanted to clear up his father's name and that's it. None of the people that loved him (including his uncle) wanted to see him drown in revenge. After clearing up his name, he immediately went back to making his life beautiful. I think I see it like that. That also explains why the ML was soo mature and calm. Usually,people burning in revenge become full of hatred.

I think you have misunderstood the scene!! His mother wants him to meet HIS PREVIOUS NEIGHBOR FAMILY who is coming to their house. They're guests and he is obligated to greet them. Its very different from a blind date. In asian cultures, parents wishful thinking isn't a blind date. A blind date is when the man and women MEET WITH THE PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE IN MIND and you make the intention explicitly obvious to the other party. He completely ignores his mother and does WHAT HE FEELS IS RIGHT. In previous episodes, he didn't go to the house and went to his uncle instead. It shows that he doesn't want to have any real conversations with the mother. I don't think I will judge him yet...too soon

I think I am quite the opposite. I saw him in a republican drama and loved his performance in it. So, I immediately warmed up to his character in this. He managed to create amazing chemistry with her (the previous FL) and with this FL. I think he has that star quality which is superior to what is "perfect visuals" at the moment in China. Also, i found the 2nd ML to be more mature looking than both of them...so I checked his age...and he is indeed much older which is appropriate for his "older brother" role.
