JOINING HAE JO IN THE FINAL DRIFT OF HIS LIFE
The day we are born, our date of departure is also decided. Death is something we all know is inevitable, yet we're never truly prepared to face it. Without giving away too many spoilers, this is the first time I've seen a story where, instead of seeking a cure, the protagonist opts to do some last-minute homework. Out of the blue, he decides to find his father (a sperm donor), convinced that his disease was inherited from him—despite never considering that his mother could have been the carrier.Anyway, moving on, he ends up kidnapping his ex to accompany him on his adventure. Why? Because she's dealing with premature menopause, and somehow he decides to take her along. Logic? Don’t ask me. Maybe he just wanted to try his last shots at fertilizing her fallopian tubes before his time runs out—who knows?
Yet, despite all this absurdity, the story is surprisingly captivating. It made me laugh like crazy and cry like hell.
What I liked best:
1. Actors: The cast is incredible—seasoned artists, many of whom have been in the industry for decades.
2. Character depth: The leads, in particular (and everyone else, in general), have their own backstories that genuinely make you feel connected to and sympathetic towards them. For instance, the second lead, who has always been timid around his mother, undergoes significant character development. By the end, he transforms into a confident person unafraid to speak his mind.
3. Plot: The storyline is focused and concise, with no unnecessary detours. In fact, such narratives don't have room for conspiracy theories or melodramatic suspense.
4. Realistic ending: The male lead doesn’t survive. It’s tragic but also very realistic. Writers can pen countless miracles, but we know that in real life, such situations rarely end in a fairy tale.
In terms of the music, it was decent—perhaps not entirely to my taste, but it wasn't bad either.
I'm genuinely glad that Korean writers are experimenting with their typical storytelling tropes. We're moving away from the heavy makeup and designer outfits to something more raw, with imperfect backgrounds. Even the actors are expanding their range, taking on roles that go beyond merely being eye candy.
However, the re-watch value is zero. No matter how good it was, I wouldn’t recommend sticking to this gloomy story a second time.

romance that transcends centuries and the longing that spans light-years apart
This drama truly deserves every bit of its massive fan following and even more. It's hands down one of the most beautifully crafted stories out there. Why I liked it:
1. Captivating plot: It maintains a steady momentum, with only a few lows but significantly more highs.
2. Outstanding cast: Kim Soo Hyun is an exceptional talent—words can't fully capture how phenomenal he is as an actor. While I'm not necessarily a fan of Jun Ji Hyun, I still enjoyed watching her performance. The rest of the cast was equally impressive.
3. A unique ending: Some might find the ending unsatisfactory, but I personally enjoyed it. Having read several stories with similar conclusions, like Gakuen Alice, I used to find such endings disheartening. However, over the years, I've matured to appreciate the depth of bittersweet conclusions. That said, I can’t deny that a part of me still wished for a more satisfying closure for the main characters.
4. A timeless love story: The romance that transcends centuries and the longing that spans light-years apart was incredibly moving.
5. The comedic relief: The humor added a sparkle to the parts where the story momentarily lost its momentum.
Areas where the story could have been improved:
1. Vague time-travel mechanism: There's little explanation of how he plans to travel back. Like, okay, here's a comet... now what? Am I supposed to throw a rope around it or just stand in front of it? At least provide some clarity!
2. Weak investigative elements: The writer seems to have limited knowledge of prosecution and detective work. The investigation scenes came off as lackluster.
3. A poorly developed female lead: The female protagonist's character felt weak and somewhat irrelevant. She didn’t contribute significantly to the story from start to finish.
4. Boring flashbacks: The scenes set in the past were quite tedious. I initially watched a few but soon realized they didn’t add much value to the plot, so I skipped them.
Lastly, the background music was delightful. Every time I rewatch this drama, its soundtrack keeps playing in my head for days afterward.

Everyone is connected within six Degrees for separation- mathematics of Fate - Kevin becon
This show brilliantly exposes the harsh and ugliest sides of our society, showcasing how humanity can sink to new lows for selfish desires. It resonates deeply, especially in a world where social media can turn into a dirty game. But amidst the chaos, there is this beautiful relationship between an adoptive father and son that had me in tears(almost ten times!) This father’s unwavering love, refusing to dissolve the adoption, highlights a bond often overlooked in real life, where adopted children can feel discarded as soon as biological kids enter the picture.
Lee Jong Suk shines in his role; this was my first time seeing him as a lead, and I was thoroughly impressed. I adore male actors who can cry real tears instead of the exaggerated “I’m pretending to cry” faces. Major credit goes to the scriptwriter for weaving the story together like a stunning necklace, with suspense unfolding gracefully in every episode.
the comedy sprinkled throughout, ensuring there were no dull moments. Kim Hae Sook and Jin Kyung delivered exceptional performances, adding depth to their conflicting roles.
One more highlight was the opening soundtrack—it’s an absolute banger! While I did find the title misleading, as Pinocchio herself had little to do with the main story, it didn’t diminish my enjoyment. Overall, this show is a perfect 10/10. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mix of heart, humor, and thought-provoking themes!

Scalpels , sutures , ROSC and Romance
"Dr. Romantic" is hands down one of the best medical dramas out there, and after watching it for the second time, I’m sure I’ll be revisiting it again in the future. The talented cast, including the brilliant Han Seok Kyu, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Seo Hyun Jin, delivers standout performances. Even the supporting actors were incredible, giving the show a real family-like atmosphere in the hospital setting. It’s heartwarming to see such a close-knit group working together, making the hospital feel more than just a place of work. What sets it apart is the accuracy and care in portraying medical cases. I mean unlike many other medical dramas that lean on fictionalized or sensationalized content, the writers here did an amazing research. The procedures and medication names are realistic, adding an informative touch that doesn’t feel forced at all . Right ??
The chemistry between the lead characters ??? Oh my god !!! it literally goes beyond just the romance. Their dynamic as colleagues, friends, and mentor-mentee is so good plus the mutual understanding and unwavering support they show each other, both professionally and personally, felt so damn genuine.
the portrayal of the teacher-student relationship with teacher kom and pupils is spot on. Rather than taking a traditional approach, the drama shows a mentor who truly understands and nurtures his students, even the more rebellious ones., a completely unique take on mentorship.
I know a lot of people don't even pay attention to this details but this show has an exceptional cinematography. With a large cast and numerous chaotic hospital scenes, it would be easy for the camera work to slip up, but it’s flawless. It immerses you in the action, making you feel like you're right there in the ER, witnessing it all firsthand. My god I don't know if I was the only one to feel this.
So, you can say this drama was emotionally gripping, and realistic drama that leaves a lasting impression. So what else can you ask for ...really ???

Glad this time it wasn't a doctor, they sent to the past.
Ahhh !!! Lovely !!! At last a writer thought of sending an forensic expert instead of doctor to the past .. otherwise I didn't even remember how many present- past travel series I watched almost all of them were about a person who is apparently doctor/medical expert by profession ...The storyline was very interesting and to the point as she travels to past, she right away starts using her expertise as forensic expert to solve cases .. like no beating around the bush ... Meanwhile she also is remembering these visuals that are related to her tragic present situation making the plot running simultaneously in present and past ... ( Won't give more spoilers you check out for yourself)
At last I will say for many series which dont actually have good writing but still a huge viewership , I think this one is quite Underrated .. i feel it literally takes a good amount of brain power to write such stories especially in short drama format.the writer need to be appreciated for the hard work.
Coming on to the cast both FL and ML did great job ... FL was a perfect pick for the character she is acting shades of her character so effortlessly.. her emotions goes 'on to off' as soon as she starts her investigation with the corpse with that peculiar way of dialogue delivery .. just amazing.
ML seems to be a new actor haven't seen him before this but he did a good job as well .. he was able to deliver the best in both of his characters.
Overall a good show .. 👍

Deliberately shown all the love in a crisp story
Lovely drama ... Core centric ..no unnecessary crap ... Bitchy fights/kitchen politics..just two lovers who are trying to survive against their fate and have a happily ever after. Both OST and CST are impressive.
Richard li is amazing as ever he is one of the most finest actors out there ... This is my first show watching Zhao Jia min (FL) and I must say she is really talented and very beautiful at the same time .. both have splendid chemistry.
This one is a must watch ..

Doomed to the core
I started watching this series for all the hype that was created on the internet. Lesson learnt :don't follow the hype ... This show was so boring .. I mean it's the closest thing to a perfect lullaby. I made me sleep at least three time per episode,GOSH!I don't mind sad story ... But this one is damn boring ... The plot had no pace whatsoever.
Cast was good but whats the point when the story writing is so lousy ..total WASTE
You wanna torture yourself go and watch it ... As for me I don't recommend ...

What ??
Is this a drama ??? Can you call this crap a drama ... ??? Wooow!! I don't know about the comic but if it is anything similar to this bullshit I don't wanna read it. I will give my argument in points:1) pilot episode was full of incomplete information.. for the suspence I guess ..but what made it irritating is that they didn't bother to clear a single thing in upcoming episodes, which made is quite confusing that too in a boring way.
2) A lot of annoying character especially female .. main FL is an absolute loser .. she is a third class psychiatrist who doesn't give proper attention to her patients, a complete quack who herself is dealing with 100s of traumas. ( Don't know who gave her the therapist lisence) she faints at every second thing .. the actresses playing the role is horrible her fake crying ... Shouting in scenes like she is around her orgasm .. she is about to throw herself on ML anytime like she looks so desperate right from Ep 1 ( kissing scene, what a second hand embarassment was that ) ... Overall everything was so annoying ..gosh !!! But she is very beautiful ..I will give her that ..
Parallel FL is vocal which is a good thing but she is a spoilt brat ...she behaves like the entire world revolves around art her ..she is silly but she was entertaining..actress playing the character did great job ..her acting was way way way better than The FL.
There is this second parallel FL , mura the goddess ... She is gorgeous ..her charcter is sort of authoritative as of goddess obviously.. I loved her even though her character gave bitter sweet vibes still ..her aura was actually goddess like ..loved the actress and her acting ..
Male characters were quite faint adding not much depth ..ML honestly I love the actor but he wasn't fut for the role ..he gives very cute .. model student youngsters vibe but I wish they cast an actor with some narcissistic aura for this role ...
The charcter of fish demon nam soo ri was adorable.
The wind god was annoying I don't know the deal with him but I kind felt irritate with him around the scene FL fainted thrice watching him... Seriously he should have thrown her out instead of behaving so ... You know what??
3) plot is so slow practically all sort of nonsense happening but nothing concrete that one can feel the story moving.
4) few background songs were good.
5) chemistry in the leads seemed desperate from FL side and 'I don't give 2 f77ks' from ML side instead of romantic and love based.
For a fact that I always mostly complete the show no matter how boring it is just for the hard work of the team but with this one I lost my patience ...
In the end I gave up and dropped the show somewhere in the middle of episode 7
life is too short for watching the horrible dramas of this sort ...

Nothing special for a betrayal-revenge story
I don't find anything different or unique for the overall storyline ... Simple betrayal to revenge plot ... I mean you are not missing anything even if you don't watch it ... There are already a lot of similar plot dramas in the market ... Infact this one is rather boring than the others. the story gets very flat after episode 6 ... For the FL is jewelry designer, the story writer has pushed too much stuff like jewelry project jewelry gala jewelry this and that ...( Don't know if even the real jewelry artists get these many things to do in that short span of time) ..I decide to drop it at ep 9.Was this review helpful to you?
Absurd ..and boring
There is absolutely no consistent flow in the story ...events are happening abruptly..like he suddenly falls in love with her like that out of blues and declares her as his real fiancee ... I mean there is no journey ..no moments ...Though ML's acting is fine but FL is a disaster ..she doesn't know ABC of expressions or dialogue delivery ... And her irritating act of trying to look cute ... I mean come on ...as per the script You came from a struggling background ..that demands a maturity in your character establishment while you are acting like an immature teenage girl from a well off family. Pathetic
Plot development was equally miserable ... Everything seems to be copied from other shows/novels ..nothing new ...
Worth watching : NOPE absolutely
Worth rewatching : don't watch it even for the first time.

Better off Asleep
I went into this show with high hopes—it’s from the creators of Pinocchio, so I expected the same magic. But, let’s just say it didn't even meet half of my expectations.
First off, the female lead (don’t even remember her name),I was kind of hoping for someone who’d hit me with that Park Shin Hye-level charm, whom I missed dearly. This was my first time seeing this actress, she’s good, I don’t think she’ll make it to my favorites. The chemistry with the male lead was so-so too.
And the narration? Oh, the excessive, endless narration. Each episode is loaded with monologues and POVs from male lead, female lead, side characters, probably even the neighbor’s cat. trying to explain every little thing. Imagine having a thrilling crime drama pause every five minutes to give a detailed commentary on everyone’s psychology. I’m not here for a lecture—I’m here for the drama!
The mom character had me laughing until she went off the rails after finding out about the leads’ shared past. She decides to hide a ring that the male lead gave to the female lead. Like, okay? Was this supposed to change anything? Because I’m pretty sure he could just buy another ring.
Then there's the whole future-vision power fiasco. These characters can literally foresee life-or-death situations, yet they repeatedly walk right into them. If I saw a vision of myself getting hurt in a certain place, I’d be making plans far away from there. But they seem determined to test fate at every turn. It’s like they have a superpower but refuse to read the manual.
Oh, and randomly, a side character suddenly becomes fully color-blind. Talk about bizarre! Add to that some uninspired wardrobe choices.
Overall this was the type of drama which will force you to revisit your life choices.

I am still trying to figure out why I watched even 5 episodes of this crap
Wang zu yi did such a great job with Daisy li in perilous love ( acting in concerned) ..I like him a lot but I don't know if this pathetic storyline is the reason, he looked just below average in this drama ..the role ..I mean it didn't suit him at all ...Secondly the FL ..oh my god ..such an ugly face plus no talent of acting whatsoever... I watched "the rebel empress" and wrote an entire pointer essay on her pathetic acting .... She is such a steaming pile of horseshit ... Neither beautiful nor talented .. just third class ... Anyways I will still ignore her but the storyline in this drama has a serious problem of distinguishing past and present events ... Nothing makes sense ... she broke up with with 5 years ago on text and yet sits in his car shamelessly as soon as she meets him again ... Why cause he is holding a god damned bag for me ... He took her for a lunch and she is sitting like she doesn't owe him any explanation... Come on !! If a person do something so horrible with other person he/ she will either ignore them or give them an explanation as soon as they meet again. This FL just sits in his car like he is some driver appointed by her father ..so ridiculous...
My condolences to people who actually watched it to the end

Cross-border romance..sorry!!! can't relate.
Not a fan of this cross border romance genre... I find it too bogus and impractical to be honest. In real life they will keep you in jail ... Torture you to hell .. and send your dead body in the most disgusting state possible ... Apparently some genres must be banned in these so called 'liberal' cinemas. There is a lot on stakes to let the young minds influenced by this nonsense. Sometimes cinema should be held accountable for its deeds. You can watch it for entertainment but please don't let it influence your mind.

A tale of love and loyalty only on ML's part.. Dropping it the second time
I watched this drama a month ago and dropped it on the second episode ..cause honestly the type of pick up of the story is not something I enjoy watching. Second reason is I absolutely don't like ming Jia Jia .. her looks her acting doens't appeal to me at all and for someone like me who gives equal importance to FL she just doesn't serve the purpose. Now coming back to the ridiculous plot ..the character who are dead or dying are more influential than those who are living ..a crafty dead woman traps her own sister for the sake of her husband's power and her child's safety while her sister the FL is just the opposite she gave up on her potential family/lover to fullfill a promise from a sister to whom she owes Nothing .. and this doesn't end here even after betraying her lover she shamelessly calls him to save her ... Pathetic
This was my limit but then I promised I give it a second chance so I started watching it again after a month ... To my surprise she character turned more selfish as she promised her so called husband that she will win the lover's trust and will manipulate him into things ...
Now this was the threshold of my patience .. I don't mind selfish characters ..but there is a limit the hypocrisy..this character is well made to be an anti lead ... Keep it that way ... What is the meaning of portraying such a pathetic character less character as the core of the show ...
Anyways this crap is not worth my time

Baseless and boring
( starts with a fairy trying to make a pact with devil in order as instructed by her grandpa ..devil appears and just bites her ...) this all is a part of game she is playing ... Like preface of the game.It was okay until now .. then starts a lousy narration in which she explains about the game and related reality ...and suddenly we see the devil and fairy have already became a friendly couple ... The hell ... No context about how their feelings grew ...no build up of the story ... Just out of nothing they appear in a "caring for each other" phase .... For Pete's sake they are devil and fairy ...do they fall in love just like that ...
Honestly speaking the way the story progresses suddenly it was indeed best to be developed as a game but I don't think you should portray a drama in such inconsistent manner ...
Can't tell if the story got any better afterwards but I decided to drop it after episode 1 .. time is too precious to waste on a drama that doesn't have a nice pilot episode ...
Feeling bad Guan Yue ..he was looking very handsome and acted well ..but damn it to hell this lousy script turned the entire drama into a waste ..
