A great story is when supporting characters so well written, full of personalities and the story doesn't completely revolves around the two leads and their romance

I wish we had more series like this, JoL, Sword Snow Stride etc.

Yan Yang is sooo badass and composed

Anyone really liking the Golden Gong Mr Yan? He's low key badass and sassy

I actually prefer the mage girl Caiwei over second princess tbh, TXW is pretty but her character isn't doing anything for me

FL character is uninteresting if you're watching this as a romance drama and sees her as ML's love interest but this is not a romance centric drama

Both are unserious crackheads 😭😭

There will def be romance but won't be the focus of the story, like in JoL, romance will just be a side plot

Lol never expected to randomly tune in and have my joy of life itch scratched.

This is already personal best drama of the year for me. Very well written and interesting supporting characters, cohesive plot without much focus on romance, what a breath of fresh air.

If you're in a Xianxia world, you can always drink the Amnesia wine.

CNets have very different taste to internationals - CNets prefer deeper, more complex plotlines that touches on social issues or stories that pay homage to history, or unique concepts etc. for eg. Republican era Dramas, Nirvana in Fire, Reset, I am Nobody, In the Name of the people, Meet yourself, the long season etc.

They absolutely despise soapy romance, Xianxia, idol Dramas etc. unless it's BL.

Despite poor rating those poorly rated Dramas will still get a lot of views because the primary audience are young females.

The people voting them down are older or male demographics.

He's restraining himself because if he goes all out he'll tlbe taken by his demonic side and potentially turn against FL and other allies, like it happened in the past

Yeah it's a little jarring but they're trying to differentiate how demons speak from humans. Demons mimic humans action including the way they speak but not perfectly.
