Title Nirvana in Fire Spoiler
I am always searching for something like this, but nothing holds a candle to NIF.
But the story of NIF2 is quite unique as well. There, the tragedies happen as we go along the series, but the story is uplifting as a whole. We see the growth of the protagonist from a free spirited, mischievous, happy go lucky but brilliant teenager slowly transforms into a responsible young man, a uncle, brother-in-law and possible husband, at the same time committed to the overall well-being of the kingdom. While many may disagree with me, but I put NIF2 slightly higher than NIF1. What I found lacking in NIF-1 was the human development of characters as we don't see enough of the human bond between the dead characters and those alive and hell-bent on revenge. We see them in flashback, but it feels lacking that human touch. However, In NIF-2 the characters are much more fleshed out. What it lacks compared to NIF-1 is in the mind games and machinations. However, I felt that it balanced out both départements pretty well with the touch of very subtle romance
