Well ... I know the drama wasnt too good but it was also not bad 7.6 trp is too low for it It deserves atleast…
Ikr! It's such shame. I personally didn't like the 'love triangle' part but not everybody's gonna hate it . It was good in its own way. Definitely deserves an 8
Honestly, I’m really going to miss Woo Joo, Taehyung, and Hyunjin. For weeks, I waited to finish my work so I could go home and watch Woo Joo on screen every Wednesday and Thursday. It became a small routine that I truly enjoyed. However, I also feel a sense of disappointment. The drama had the potential to be much better if the storyline involving the SML had not been dragged out so much. There were many scenes showing the FL and the SML spending a lot of happy time together, while the ML was going through a very difficult period. At that point, the writers had a great opportunity to turn the story in a different direction and develop it more meaningfully. Doing so could have helped the audience better understand the FL’s character and support her decisions, and it might have strengthened the chemistry between the FL and the ML instead of making it feel somewhat bland. That said, I have absolutely no harsh feelings toward the actors. They all did an excellent job and made the drama feel warm and wholesome. In my opinion, the issue lies with the writing. Creating flawed characters is completely fine, but audiences usually watch dramas to see character growth and development , not to see potentially strong characters turn into something that feels inconsistent or poorly written. I have to admit that Episode 12 made me quite emotional. The scene with Hyunjin’s picture with Woo Joo was incredibly beautiful and truly touched my heart. The final scene of Woo Joo’s birthday party also felt like a perfect ending. Still, I wish they had reduced the number of scenes showing the FL and SML dating and having fun, and instead given more screen time to Woo Joo’s little family, their neighbors, Taehyung’s friends, and Hyunjin’s colleagues. It would have been wonderful to see how all of them helped Taehyung and Hyunjin grow as parents. More moments between Taehyung and Hyunjin would have made the story even stronger. I really wanted to give this drama a solid 10, especially because of the performances of Baek In Hyuk and the baby actor. Their chemistry carried the show and made many scenes unforgettable. I sincerely hope they receive awards for their roles. The final episodes calmed down some of the frustration I felt earlier, because Episodes 6, 7, and 8 honestly tested my patience as a K-drama fan. Despite my criticisms, I would still recommend this drama to others. The story is wholesome and heartwarming overall. I would also love to watch more dramas featuring Baek In Hyuk and the baby actor in the future. The baby already shows so much natural charm on screen. I truly think this little one could become an amazing actor someday.
I have never been so happy to be completely wrong about something. My initial thoughts of what I thought this…
I agree with you. I was literally ignoring this show as my expectation was something else. I thought it's going to be cheesy university romance with cheesy comedy and drama. Glad this show has proven me wrong.
There is zero chemistry between FL and ML , In the 11th episode, it does feel like that ML is in love with the FL just because Baek In hyuk is such an amazing actor , but the FL always looks so stiff to me. They dragged the FL and SML storyline so much that now I can't imagine the FL with the ML. It's such a shame . The ML and FL had so much potential at the very beginning. They could have made their relationship go from enemies to lovers because of the child. They could have shown how family makes everything better. I'm really going to miss this drama after the last episode. Thus , I will always be disappointed by the fact that they could've made this drama so much better.
Real talk: Apparently, it was clear that the FL never liked the SML. It's true that she was attracted to him, but she didn't really like him. She admired him as someone who is good, handsome, and talented. She never asked for his help either. It was the SML who actually tried to make her like him. This can justify her confusion. However, I really wish the writers hadn't dragged the SML storyline and had instead given more screen time to other characters, such as the neighbors, Tae Hyung's friends, or Woo Joo. They could have made it more heartwarming for the audience. They should have given more time and beautiful scenes to Hyunjin and Tae Hyung so the audience could see how they heal and support each other without asking for anything in return. That would have made the climax of episode 9 more emotional. I think the writers wanted to avoid some clichés that are common in K-dramas (like making the SML a villain or giving the audience second male lead syndrome), and they did succeed in that. I must say there aren't many clichés so far, but in trying to avoid them, they made the story feel bland, especially the chemistry between the FL and ML. This drama had great potential since the birth rate is very low in South Korea, and finding the right partner to raise a child with is not easy. They could have shown the drama from that perspective. Unfortunately, they have turned the good SML as an annoying character and the drama into a cliché.
This is the first time I've watched Surfjava and omg their chemistry was top tier. I laughed , smiled, blushed through the whole 4 episodes. I must say their acting was so natural, it didn't feel like that they were acting. Also the writing and the story is rewatchable . 10/10.
I've watched so many dramas but never in my kdrama stan life a SML ragebaited me this much , I'm really fed up with the FL . She should already take a decision . I don't mind her being with the SML . But she's just dragging it and keeping both of them on the hook. I just like Woo joo's relationship with Tae hyung. SML is a green flag as he's also trying to get the girl he likes but mannn this whole episode he was just ragebating me. I even shouted , 'Go back to your boyfriend ' Iykyk . However, the main problem rn is the FL. She needs to choose.
exactly . almost half the drama is the love triangle so far ... and the FL always looks to have a great time with…
Writers are making it difficult for the FL. I like her character but I'm afraid I won't like her character if she chooses SML over our woo joo's Uncle 😭
