Fun, light, just a romcom

The latest comments talk about this drama like it’s the worst they’ve ever seen and I think that such a reach lol, like it’s not groundbreaking it’s a cute lighthearted romcom, chill.
I do think that the last episodes lacked some substance, felt like they were dragging the story to get the 12 eps, they could’ve explored more of the storylines and the 1 year jump was so cliche, the very end felt so meh.
There were come things that were left unanswered, like why did the brother take the money? Did Young-seo’s dad talked to her again? Did Tae-moo’s grandpa accept her? Did Min-woo come back? (Did he ever liked her?)
I liked the story and it was a fun watch, Young-seo and Sung-hoo’s relationship had me giggling and kicking my feet I loved them lol, just wished the story at the end wasn’t so rushed but anyway I really liked this show!

Cute Romcom

Overall I liked it, it’s a cute lighthearted drama!
The cast is really good, my fav character was the ML I feel like he got the best character development and was the only mature one at times lol. The FL is your tipical dumb girl that is supposed to be “not attractive”, she’s not like other girls yk lol but more tolerable than most FLs imo. The only thing I don’t like about her it’s that she’s a bit selfish and immature mainly in her relationship with the ML.
I honestly skipped the love story of the ML’s brother, it just felt forced and I wasn’t interested in the man after the story with the FL was done, I would’ve love to see if Seon-ok and Tae-Kwon got together at some point we only saw them flirt one episode and then the story jumps to 2 years later and that’s it, the last episodes felt quite rushed tbh.

Good but could’ve been better

This drama was so so refreshing and entertaining, I normally don’t watch period dramas but this one is so unique I had to watch it. I liked it overall but felt like some episodes were just “fillers” I feel like you could skip a couple episodes and go to the last two without any issue. Would’ve loved to see more of the implications in the present time of the decisions the king made, and where was the queen’s soul this whole time? how did Joseon change with the king’s new ideas? what was of the life of the chef after he returned to his body? So many questions and stories that could’ve been answered without extending the amount of episodes.

Started Good but Fell Short

Really wanted to like this after the first episodes but the last two episodes completely ruined it.

Actually love the trope of this show, the fake marriage to love but the FL is so narcissistic and egotistical, the ML was changing his life completely for her and she was just mean and selfish, not only to him but to everyone around her as well like the way she reacted to her boss liking her sister was insane to me, she instantly made it about herself and prohibited their relationship?? that’s insane like who does she think she is to dictate what her sister can and can’t do, not only to her but her other sister as well - when she told her about her open relationship and she basically told her she’s wrong about that, focusing about what other people will think, I really didn’t like this FL.

I understand her hurt from feeling like her mother didn’t love her as much as she did all the children she adopted, but the way she dismissed their feelings for her mother was cruel. The ML was grieving as well but she didn’t even asked him once about how he was feeling and took that moment to break up with him…he was always there for her but she rarely reciprocated that, she constantly pushed him away and just wanted him to come back time and time again after hurting him. I don’t think the break up was necessary for him to look for his mother, they could’ve stayed together and she could’ve supported him while he faced going to the woman that caused him all the hurt but no she broke things off and made him do that alone…?

The last two episodes were just all over the place, they cramped every romcom kdrama cliche they could think of in those episodes. Felt so rushed with so many unnecessary stuff, they told more in the last two episodes that in all the others.

Cute, funny, romantic story completely ruined in the last two episodes.
