I don’t really agree with that — Taiwan and Japan have given us some of the best quality BLs out there. Taiwan especially is known for bold storytelling with emotional depth, and Japan has a long history of exploring complex BL narratives through both dramas and anime. If either of them takes on an Omegaverse story, I think they’d do it justice and bring out the intensity without holding back.

But I don’t find the part with Sheng Shaoyou’s ex being scared of Hua Yong funny, because to me Hua Yong is manipulative, and those expressions only highlight that side of him rather than being genuinely humorous.

I didn’t find that scene cute at all. To me, Hua Yong following Sheng Shao You felt more intrusive than endearing — it came across as pushy rather than sweet.
