Rewatching again Episode 9: I have to say there were some subtle signs that Paul had some shady ways:
1. Remember in episode 6: When Paul first got introduced in this episode where Padthapi was looking for sponsorship for his show, there was a question that kept bugging me: Why was Paul ONLY acknowledgeing and talking to Phi and ignoring Tam's Existence (Paul didn't even tell Tam hello or wave him even though both TamPhi came into his office at the SAME time, to me Paul came off as rude. Paul is a businessman but wasn't very professional of him and I get that Phi was his junior but it took Paul until they were out of his office to acknowledge Tam and even then Paul wasn't talking to Tam but was still conversing with Phi.
2. The beginning of Episode 7: Where Paul was telling Phi the reason about why Tam broke up with him. I always wanted to know why Paul told Phi this since it wasn't his business, Was it possible that Paul wanted to prevent Tam and Phi from being together or telling Phi to cause conflict between TamPhi so he (Paul) could have a chance to date Phi?
3. Episode 9: where Paul invited them to his hotel. First of all, I think it was stupid that Paul invited NEWS REPORTERS to his hotel where it was closely located to his illegal gambling spot but anyways, Paul clearly said in Episode 9 that he didn't tell them especially Phi that he was the owner of the hotel because he knows Phi would consider Tam's feelings and didn't want Tam to feel bad (meaning Paul KNOWS about Tam's insecurities when it comes to Paul's "achievements"), you can say Paul was just telling the truth since Yong was backed in a corner BUT I felt Paul was showing off a little to Phi and Tam for different reasons while also being friendly by telling them that he would give them a discount if they got married here. Also couldn't Paul had lie and say he knows the hotel owner or he's friends with them if he didn't want them to be uncomfortable as he said?
Anyways, these are more some things I noticed about Paul after writing somethings in my previous comment below before the end of episode 9 like it made me understand Paul a lot!
I feel like the writing really downgraded towards the end and if it weren't for KristSingto, I don't know what…
For Paul, most fans were already suspicious about him on X and honestly we hardly know anything about Paul's character, the only info about him was from Tam and Phi which were mostly about Paul when he was in university ( and each of their own view about him were clearly bias). Also, Paul may have been supportive and helpful to Phi and Tam but the Paul they know from university is Not the same Paul when he suddenly got so rich. Paul being nice and being a criminal isn't that surprising since most people who commit are like that.
As for Yong and Nudde with their love interest, I think it's meant to be messy, it's not suppose to make sense because it's humanely flawed. Yong and his Ex Gaogie both were together for a long time then his Ex broke up with him when they were going to get married, Yong was even thinking of starting a family. They broke up but stayed friends with each other (it's bound to be complicated even when he tries to move on). Yong's Ex in the picture gave him hope but it seems Gaogie has a one-sided crush on Nudde which makes it more messy and then Yong was going to almost cheat on Ploy's character. I believe it's intentionally written that way to show the messy side of things when working with an Ex who Yong isn't sure if he still have feelings for or Not while also confusing the viewers. It's meant to parallel TamPhi's relationship but in a confusing, complicated way. I mean there's a reason why most people don't work with their Ex because they end up as Yong ๐
This is a guess: I think it's low because activities/engagement has decreased here. The episodes that already…
I think the reason Sotus overall rate is consistent is because the series has ended so I don't think it takes part in the activitiy factor matters that much compare to The Ex-Morning which is still airing, Plus I think for Sotus since it's finish, most viewers are rating the overall series and not rating the individual episode and comments are Not as regularly compare to a airing series, so slow engagement but gives it a consistent rating
If Sotus rating ever does changes (increase or decrease), it will most likely because a large amount of viewers are bomb rating the series in a short-time period or it's consistently getting positive or negative ratings
For anyone, who reads this, it's just a theory ๐
Did the rating went down from an 8.3 to an 8.0? Or has it always been an 8.0? That is a huge sudden drop!EDIT:…
This is a guess: I think it's low because activities/engagement has decreased here. The episodes that already aired and rated by viewers in the Episode Guide section on this page are rated High so I think on Mydramalist in order for a series to get a higher rating, it Also needs more reviews, reply, and comment into the factor, not just rating. So the activities must reflect the rating. Also if we compare the amount of people rating each episode, it has also decreased as each episode goes by.
High rating + Activities/Engagement = Overall Good rating
Edit: Or it could also because not a lot of people are rating the series in a specific time-frame, who even knows at this point ๐
This is just a guess ๐ , Hopefully it goes up this Thursday or for the final episode ๐
I came back to the BL fandom as a PEBACA fan at a really great time with KristSingto killing it in their comeback…
Now that I think about it, I wonder if GMMTV will capitalize on Pebaca being back, like do a Pebaca World Tour Concert and maybe Pebaca series because I could imagine the numbers trending on X, they WILL pull some Big numbers if they are smart and give more Hype to Ogs like it's a win-win for everyone
If youโre asking on this page which is frequented by fans you are not going to get an objective answer.
Np, I'm glad to see you asking so many questions about the situation and wanting to know more, because tragically most haters/outsiders which quantity is mostly, unsurprisingly some international BL fans usually don't do that and I have seen them only believe in what they want to hear and not even try to read up on it even when provided with proof, they straight up refuse to look at the information which challenges what they know. So enjoy the 2 reads.
If youโre asking on this page which is frequented by fans you are not going to get an objective answer.
If you want a better understanding of the situation, Here's 2 posts links that basically gives you the run-down because I don't think there's any commentors here who can give you the whole story. Just want to say whether fans or not, most opinions are going to be bias about the situation either way especially since this happen around Sotus where how to say it ๐ค, the story has been changed as times goes on, especially how certain International YouTubers/social media creators profited off on the story and spreaded some lies, misconceptions and rumours about KristSingto (mostly Krist) which made the situation worse, which were spreaded by new BL fans at the time who did Not fact-check, if what they heard was actually true and didn't do their own research/deep dive (this is why it's important to always read different sources instead of following and listening to your own circle of personal favourite creators in general).
As a fan of KristSingto since Late 2015-2016, They have been through it from reporters harassing and stalking them to obsessive fans in the earlies who stalked and kept on REPEATEDLY asking if Krist and Singto were gay (mind you some of these fans were grown-ass adults harassing 19-20 year old Krist and Singto ESPECIALLY Krist since I guess you can say he was the easiest one they targeted more because he was more emotional, expressive and extrovert compare to Singto who was an introvert so yeah Krist was sadly more vulnerable in the situation. The worst part this was when Gmmtv didn't hire protection/security guards for them so you can imagine how crazy it was for KristSingto as an OG). Anyways, reads these 2 posts since they are MOST accurate about the situation and form your opinion.
๐ This post lays out the evidence and clears up misconceptions:
Episode 8, we got introduce to Tam's mother and thank heavens she was not annoying like some BL moms, like I actually understand her actions. Phi really proved in this episode why he Can be in a relationship with Tam. This episode to sum it up, was too sugary sweet. Phi and Tam are really a cheesy, lovey-dovey type of couple โค๏ธ
I've never seen a reasoning for a breakup so ridiculous ๐ญ in a BL before hehhh? So you're telling me that bro…
Don't want to spoil but I heard there's might be a reason why he left the country. I think next episode it will be revealed or episode 9? Who knows but better to just watch the whole series and see if there's more to the break up.

This episode has me going through so many emotions like I think episode 9 is Top 5 for me.

This episode jump from 1 to 100 really quickly like I'm still a little shock.
Also wedding, next episode ๐
