Clearly with that thinness they couldn’t possibly survive real fights or harsh conditions of life. The only rare dramas I can remember soldiers and ML looking somewhat legit were in “Story of MingLan” and “The Rebel Princess”.

Yes! Please also actors like these who take themselves and their craft seriously. You can tell all of them are serious about acting and not just posing or making sure they look pretty when displaying real raw emotions.
This is my first time specifically thanking the teams in charge of cinematography and editing as I watch a drama. They did (imo) an excellent job so far. It might sound odd but I can “feel”, “taste”and “smell” what is being shown. I could feel the soil, the cold etc… I could even smell the market, that cow… I could taste the peanuts and so on. The cast and crew are doing such a great job that I can “feel” myself in there. At the end of the episodes I’m a bit disoriented for a few seconds coming back to reality 😅.
I hope they handle his ex and her husband this weekend, I don’t think I can handle well having them sprinkled throughout the drama. Let the man heal and move on.
