Reading comprehension is important, where did I say that wanting to focus on his mentor is narcissistic? I specifically said that deciding when to drop her and picking her back regardless whenever HE decided was making him a narcissist.

If you know that someone is infatuated by you and you don’t want anything to do with the person, you are firm before you are being drugged. Be firm and even borderline rude if you have to.

You don’t sit there sending mixed messages to someone who is unstable and refuses to accept that you don’t want her. We didn’t see a lot of the interactions in the past but the little I’ve seen, he was not firm.

She drops the fish soups and breaks the bowl “I’ll get take, don’t hurt yourself.” She brings the pastries “I’m studying” or whatever he said. Bookshelf falling towards her head, he appears like a hero etc…

Be firm “leave me alone, nothing will happen. I’m not interested, find someone else.”

The father drugged him, when she came in the room, she tried to explain that she had nothing to do with it. I believe she even apologized. He knew of her personality a little and could tell she wouldn’t agree to drugging him.
His anger was appropriate but treating her that way even after she apologized was wrong.

He “rejected” her but still found ways to be in her vicinity? If you turn down someone and the person doesn’t listen, wouldn’t you make sure to avoid that person at all costs?

I understand he called her his sister out of desperation. Nothing stopped him after to tell her that she was adopted or something once he realized that he was starting to have feelings?

He is being wishy-washy about her, I find him to be a bit narcissistic tbh. It’s all about him, he rejected her when he wanted and now he wants her back when he wants to? Naaaah get out of here, Lu Chang!

That’s fine if he is not comfortable, the few dramas I’ve seen him in, he acts stiff.

My biggest problem here is the underlying message “having a crush on someone is more important than how the person actually treats you.”

They also unnecessarily lead on SML (and us). The writers didn’t have to make him so involved with her like that. It could have just been “he likes her” and that’s it. They made him fight his father for her, come on.

I don’t like how the writers made Mingshu handle SML feelings. I think there’s a way to drop someone. The reason she gives “I don’t have a crush” sound shallow, ungrateful and immature.

SML since the beginning has been consistent, he was there every time she needed him and always respected her and her “family”.

I need the entertainment industries worldwide to stop with this dumb message that a crush is the most important part when picking a partner. We all know someone (maybe have also personally experienced) having a crush on someone who didn’t treat them right.

At the end, what we want is someone who will be there in joy and pain, someone who will respect us and our family… Having a crush comes and goes. The way the person treats you is what makes you stay.

ML before the amnesia was cold to her, he humiliated her on the “wedding night”. After the accident, still cold (I also have a problem with him choosing to lie that she’s his sister, why not an adopted cousin? Making her feel like she’s having feelings for her brother 🤢).


This is a message I’m typing for the younger ones watching. Of course you want some physical attraction but how he/she treats you consistently even when you don’t ask is what you should pay more attention to.

I agree, it defies logic. After making him do all that to lose the girl after, what’s the point? I sometimes wonder if the writers are psychopaths.

Unless they make SML do something really despicable now (which will be odd because that will be out of character), I don’t see how I can be ok with her ending with ML.

The haunted palace is for an audience 15+ and I believe it comes on somewhat early at night in Korea. They won’t put full gore and scary for an audience that age and for something that shows early.

I have a question. The adopted children don’t know the daughter bio daughter? Are they under the same dad mentor or the bio daughter and the adopted siblings not related at all? That confused me because they are not looking for each other.

I think I’ve missed the crucial info each new characters are bringing. So far it’s been the same info it seems. He knew her father went to see the mentor in jail. The only new info I noticed was that fl’s dad was given something important when he visited the mentor. He knew his mentor was set up. He found out what happened to the adopted siblings and the daughter is alive but I didn’t see notice crucial info he didn’t already know about regarding the case. I’ll pay more attention.

You are probably right. To be honest I don’t even care about the romance plot between the leads anymore, I just want them to start working on the case and for her to properly seek revenge.

I need to cancel my plans and stock up on snacks and drinks for that day. I will properly watch all day.

Why is the drama losing its appeal? They are dragging the heck out of that amnesia and “let’s clear my mentor’s reputation” (nothing happening regarding this, not even the approval of the appeal).

So far nothing tangible has happened to what actually matters to the leads. We are halfway and the only interesting storyline is prince Riu and his consort. It feels like they are the leads at this point.

I’m getting tired of the typical fl who is weak and dumb but she thinks she’s so smart and strong.

I think a lot of people are here because of that drought, it’s something to watch until whatever drama they are waiting for comes out .

To me, many of these male actors only look really 😍🥵👌 when they are dressed for historical dramas. They have the charisma. Then you see them in modern clothes and hairstyles and it’s so so.
