just started their craziness and his wig is a total turn off...
His wig is a bit off in some scenes in episode 1 and 2 probably because those scenes were shot when the weather in China had turned quite hot and humid (May 2024). His hair gets better I think from episode 4/5 onwards. As for the craziness, I personally freaking love it! Though the craziness toned down a lot after the first episode and became more realistic.

I get what you mean, but we probably have to also keep in mind that this is an A grade production, meaning they don’t have a big budget. And I think what they managed to produce, including the cinematography is way better than some S/S+ dramas.

This is not a S grade drama. It is more like a realistic/somewhat art house drama. Original script, no IP. Pretty much zero promotion from wetv, and very little from tencent as well. The airing date was announced literally the night before. So you really can’t expect it to have the same popularity as say TLI.

Loving the first 4 episodes so far! The first episode had such an epic start, was chaotic yet also heartfelt and heart fluttering! Tbh, episode 2 was kind of slow, but picked up quickly again once Zhou Shui and Da Ji reunite. Can’t wait to see how their story and relationship will continue to evolve! P.S: Wang Anyu is killing it here!
