It was due to Sinus. He had a cyst and breathing problems because of that. He did mention that he didn't want silicon or anything so they've cut the lower part and put it there that's why he looks a bit different in certain angles. To me personally he looks the same when he smiles and all.
So the long dialogue that Fu kept telling Moo through the phone call is actually the 'Cups' song from Pitch Perfect!! 😂🤣 I really love the fact that they are using millennial's songs quite often.. Makes me feels feel included somehow 🥰

(The scene where he mentioned Watermelon flagged male leads and portrayed those types are not good. And he promised Moo that he won't cross the line without his consent.)
I believe there'd be more qualities shown with each episode. Hope that answered your question.
