was wondering about this scene. Do you think it's the convo he kind of wishes he was having with his son? As in...…
I don't think it's his son he is talking to, it's someone we don't know about. Maybe someone who passed away who was close to him. After watching the 20th episode and the fear in the sons eyes after disappointing him made me think they don't have a good bonding. Half the show we only see the mother around the son never the father, you see where I'm going with this?
I'm not surprised to see Mr Yu talking to an invisible person about ambition, I mean the whole family is just crazy. That scene was also creepy, was he hallucinating someone we don't know about?
The drama was good till episode 15, then onwards it went downhill. Too many plot holes. The female leads personality changing midway, well that comes in bad writing. Overall I can just say that this is an over rated drama. The rating for this should around 7.5 for me.
The empress dowager handed Zue die to the cang bei and Teng Feng with a pikachu face agreed to it. It's obvious where this plot will go, Zue die will rescued by Mo Jing Li and the pikachu guy will be dead and the war might start regardless.
I tried watching it; the story is different and good, but the actor is very bad. They should have chosen someone…
Same expression? bs. What about his disability acting? when he was in isolation and breaking things in his study? You could clearly see he had suicidal tendency or when he shows love to the female lead? or his depression acting? how come you saw all that and came to a conclusion that his expression is same...I think he is best for this role. All I see is an ignorant and biased comment here. I don't think you know what acting is...
What do you guys think? Are Marquis Mu Yang, the Empress Dowager, and Grand Consort Qin Zheng actually villains?…
The Marquis is the real villain obviously but his actions are motivated by the empress who knows his evil intentions but keeps quiet about it since she benefits from it and the consort Qin who hides in the corner like a little rat knowing everything. Yes at the end of the day they are villains who directly or indirectly played a role in the death of prince ding's family and innocent people.
She was the consort of the late emperor. She was a great follower of the empress dowager, until ep 25. Not sure…
She is a consort not a concubine. A consort is an official wife of a royal husband(in this case the late emperor). A concubine is an unoffical wife and holds a lower standing or rank than the official wife. The current empress Gou Jin was a consort before she became an empress and had a equal rank as the current consort dowager Qin Zheng. Gou Jin was elevated to the empress rank because her son became the emperor after the late emperor passed away.
Has Cheng Li's voice been dubbed by someone else? When I was watching episode 22 the unnatural move of the lips…
In this drama it is not dubbed but it seems the leads have dubbed themselves. It seems in some scenes like episode 22, they only did the acting but left out the voice script and later on dubbed their voices.
This episode was the result of Qin's own foolishness. I mean which parent would send you out to kill someone and there were signs that he would be caught. There were many red flags throughout the past episodes that the Marquis just sees him as something to discard. If he survives this encounter and still goes back to his father, then my sympathy for him will go down the drain.
The ending of 19 episode was cool. Love the actions scenes in this drama but I don't like how Ye Li does this mission Solo with Ming Xi without Prince Ding knowing about it. I understand she has her own quest to do but doing so puts the Prince Dings family at risk whom she has grown to love over the course of the episodes. I guess the consequence of her nomadic life outside the mansion are going to show up in the future episodes.
