People hated that drama but I was a fan already so I overlooked everything lol. He was in the first drama I ever watched, 10 years ago. Also watched him on Roommate. Can’t believe it’s been that long.

Yep, I definitely get what they were trying to do but it was just an awkward way and example to use to try and explain it.

It wasn’t even a good use of history. They could’ve literally used tribalism or casteism for something similar. Pretty sure slave owners and abolitionists and/or the Union and the Confederates were more at odds with one another than slaves were with each other. Poorly written example and way of explaining social hierarchy.

Review bombing. There are…patterns 👀. This comment section has been ugly and has become targeted by stans. Not even surprised by the ratings dip. Drama was fire either way and it did well 🔥💁‍♀️

Definitely. Pacing was a bit awkward too. The director expressed his interest in the film’s score but I was more compelled by cinematography. It was gorgeous and really helped make this film more palatable. If Hyun Bin and Lee Dong Wook weren’t involved, I’d probably be a lot more critical lol.

Yeah this is messy all around. I didn’t see all the other pages per se but I’ve noticed some questionable rating patterns and comments. I don’t see the same sudden review bombing or rude comments on certain pages compared to this one. That says a lot. Either way, respect to those on both sides to those who are being honest with their views, for better or worse.

It’s silly because the change in rating isn’t going to change a show’s acclaim or success. QoT is rated lower on here and it ended up being the highest rated TVN drama with viewership. CLOY has a 9. Fandom wars are a waste of time.

I wish they weren’t connected to one another because it feels like an undercover fandom war is taking place because of the high rankings 🫤. Both will likely fall in rankings over time. Nothing stays on top forever. It’s not worth the fight.

That’s fair. It can be like that. It’s just not good when it becomes volatile. That goes both ways. I just don’t like that some people are trying to poke the bear like I’ve seen. It’s important not to reciprocate negativity though.

Either way, I just hope it all straightens out. Hopefully it'll look more accurate when hype subsides a bit. There are shows people love that I didn't like as much but I try to still be graceful with my reviews because I don't want to be that person. I either don't rate or give it a bit more than I should because I'm not trying to play that game.

I have no clue what it is. I think people in general like to be negative (especially on the internet). Maybe some people are mad because of the praise and they're offended by that. It could also be that they want to be contrarian or because high ratings are drawing attention away from their preferred shows.

It's a mess. At this point, fans should just be happy and at peace with the fact that this show has done really well and it speaks for itself. There is definitely some review bombing going on but some people probably genuinely dislike it. I'm disappointed to see the rating drop but a lot of the most successful shows on this site (and ever) don't even have that rating. It's been toxic but everything will straighten out. Everyone who likes it should ignore the negativity and just only give notice to the positives and/or to constructive reviews.

They ship to my region but I haven't bought anything because the shipping is crazy given what they're selling. I couldn't justify it. I will say though: eBay seems to have some stuff but you'd have to confirm if it's legit. There is also a lot of unofficial merch on Etsy as well. Don't know if this is helpful but I thought I'd mention it.

I mainly bought it since I don’t know if there’ll be much else available 😪. I used to buy a lot of albums and have an old collection. This is me rationalizing my $85 album purchase 😆.

Where are you finding all this merch? 👀 or maybe I shouldn’t ask because my bank account is already in shambles from buying the OST lol 😆. This show has taken advantage of my finances in an unprecedented way.

Oh, that’s unfortunate 🫤. It seems as though that’s the case with kdramas (limited releases). I was hoping there was a chance for another pressing given the popularity. I guess I’ll just have to buy some merch. Thanks for helping me though 🙂
