I am in love!
8 episodes in and I am obsessed with this drama already. The story is pretty simple but the chemistry of both leads is through the roof! I know some people have compared this to 50 Shades of Grey and I get it. But there is so much more to this than that.Luke and Flora are so good together! It is just so electric whenever it is a scene with them together. I know the story is just beginning and that is what makes it so exciting. I am completely into their relationship and story. I would definitely keep watching!!!

Just finished episode 6 and I have to say my thoughts -- I am disapppointed in the FL. This girl, yes girl, is immature and unworthy of the ML and Woo Ju. I am at the point of dropping this series because of her character. She is poorly written and unfortunately poorly acted. I don't even get why the 2nd ML is obsessed with her. They have not been together for years and all of a sudden he is still in love with her!? And she with him!? Give me a break. Her priorities should have shifted once she became Woo Ju's guardian. At this point, I just want the ML to take Woo Ju away and they both live happily ever after. The only reason I will continue watching this is because of Bae In Hyuk and Yu Ho.Was this review helpful to you?

It was glorious but ended up meh
This drama started out really interesting. I especially liked the episodes where the FL was trying to find a husband. It's like a different kind of Bachelorette show. All the family drama - with the sisters and grandma - had me so invested. I liked how the sisterhood relationships moved the plot and introduced us to different story arcs. However, as we got towards the end, it just got abandoned and we have this entirely new family drama that was very annoying and frustrating. I seriously was annoyed at the last few episodes and it just felt like they just dragged the story on with unnecessary drama. It felt like all the good from the first half of the series just turned sour. I was literally just trudging through the episodes to get to the ending. I mean, I have already invested so much time on this show to just drop it. Needless to say, the ending was unsatisfactory for me. I still liked how this series made women the stars and really went hard on women empowerment but it just didn't make for an enjoyable show.Was this review helpful to you?
Such a pleasant surprise!
Truth be told, I only watched this for Seo Kang Jun, but was I in for a treat. Just when k-dramas have been pretty disappointing of late, this one was such a refreshing change! To my surprise, I enjoyed this so much.This is such a fun, lighthearted, and cute romance drama. I liked how simple the concept of the story is and how easy it was to follow along. The biggest thing that draws you in is the line-up of good looking men in this series! It was such a treat! I loved all the cameos and their storylines!
Jisoo is always a delight. She was perfectly cast for this role and for some reason, was very relatable in this drama. In Guk has always been a favorite as well. This drama won't win acting awards or anything of that sort but this made me smile and feel giddy a lot which is rare in recent k-drama offerings.
What is weird is that although this movie is pretty simplistic, there is an underlying societal theme and lesson that is the pulse of this show. Is AI or virtual reality replacing human relationships? Is it better? That seems to be a question this show is trying to ask and in a way, it was able to tap into some answers. I really enjoyed this one and would probably find my way into rewatching this in the future.

Satisfaction Guaranteed!
This show's plotline is one of my favorites. I love a good revenge story, especially if the main character is reborn with their memories intact. This show started out slow with the first two episodes still trying to set the tone and characters, but once the main character - they couldn't have picked a more perfect lead than Ji Sung - started on his second life/chance, everything picked up. This show is very fast-paced. You won't get bored or feel restless waiting for something to happen. I loved the "Judge Avengers" circle! This was such a satisfying show to watch. Seeing the comeuppance of those deserving happen one after another and the way they did brought so much satisfaction. I think they could have made this series into a 16-episode instead of 14 because the last episode felt a little packed and rushed but still really ended well.Was this review helpful to you?
Fork in the road
I totally ate this series up. The main leads had such crazy chemistry that it was just intense. I had to keep checking myself on why I am swooning over sibling love, but I just simply think they are two kids who grew up together and end up falling in love. I read fantasy romance so the plot isn't something I would consider weird or gross. I mean, once you get past that, it is a really cute and sweet drama. I enjoyed it so much. My 11 year old who watched with me sometimes kept asking why the girl aka Jiang Mu aka Esther Yu sounds like a kid, LOL. Well, this series was definitely trademark Esther Yu series. I don't hate her. She was in her element. As for Jian Zhao, He Yu really owned it. I just really had fun with this and such a good one to end the year.Was this review helpful to you?

Satisfying watch!
This show was good. I love a rebirth plot. But honestly, I wish they did more with that premise. Sure, the FL knew of her past life but aside from profiting from it and using her knowledge of it to steer herself away from her former marriage, there was really very little she did to counter anything else. Ok, granted there was little she could really have done to change the course of "fate" or history, but I felt like there could have been more done with that past life knowledge. It got a little frustrating at times. How do you know the past, have a book about it, a monk that knows about the future, and still have no clue? Uh, okay.Over-all, the FL and ML chemistry is amazing. I love it. They were both great in their roles though I think the ML was better and probably outshone the FL. I particularly love So Mo. It was just a pity we got robbed of the long white-haired So Mo for the rest of the series, that would have been the better one of the two So Mos, in my honest opinion!
The cinematography was top-notch. The scenes were beautiful. What I loved most about this series is that all the minor characters' stories were given time and space to really be fleshed out and flow into the whole narrative. You can understand the entirety of the story and how each of the characters contribute to the whole. I love that. This was well-written and carefully thought of.
The ending was very satisfying. I really enjoyed this series.

Class Dismissed!
Binged this series in a day. It was such a satisfying show. It was so refreshing to see something like this. The show was so in your face both in a good and bad way. It touched on societal issues that plague the education system in Korea, but echoes what could also be happening elsewhere. This didn't try to preach but showed an alternate reality that tells us what, why, and how to teach a lesson. I particularly liked that it not only brought up issues on bullying, pressure and stress from grade and exam anxieties, parenting faults and excess, drugs, addiction, teacher and student abuse, etc., but also how all of these contribute to bigger and systemic problems. Yes, it was violent but in a rather cathartic way. Sometimes some people just need a beating, for real! I am hoping for a season 2 already!Was this review helpful to you?

Hard watch but worth it
I have been putting off completing this series because every time I try watching, it gets me frustrated. I finally was able to sit through all the episodes and as expected, it was emotionally draining, frustrating, and also really, eye-opening. This documentary series really have delved into the tragedies. For most who only view Korea through the Kdrama lens, this is definitely such a stark contrast but a much needed reality check. I couldn't say I "enjoyed" watching this but it is definitely a riveting watch.Was this review helpful to you?

Update:Finally finished this and I still liked it. I really like the leads and their romance although I wish we saw more of that than the office drama.

4 of 4 so far and this show has been saving K-dramas of late for me. I have always liked Shin Hae Sun so I was sure I will enjoy this but she really is such a treat. I love her character in this. Such a badass boss and also so funny! Gong Myung is starting to be a favorite male lead as well. They have such great chemistry. I am loving this so far and hopefully it stays good. There is obviously some office drama and mystery so that also adds to the fun! Will continue watching for sure.

Only 3 episodes in and I am obsessed. I do love Meng Zi Yi and she is such a badass in this one. I really love the reborn with memories trope. This one is killing it. I love how even with just 3 episodes so far, it has moved the story's pacing and plot already. Also, He Yu is so adorable in this role. I cannot wait for more episodes! I hope it stays good!
