This might just be me overthinking but Looks like the age reveals changed some of the dynamics in the house. I noticed Baekhyeon and Yoosik aren't that close or chatting again like in previous episodes. The irony is that Yoosik is even more closer and interact more with Wonkyu.

It was days later after he had gone , she it up again saying she does not approve. She stop him for having his solo vacation (saying he is not spending much time with her and he want to spend time alone?) knowing fully well that his profession rarely gets that. She was already insecured because the people around him as they were mostly doctors and elites. She was already feeling insecure by everything he does which made Wonkyu felt cage and restricted ( if that is not being controlling, I don't know what is then) . They didn't even break up because of the stability issue, the broke up because they have opposite personalities which always clash and not simultaneously like you're making it sound or implying. At the end, both of then were fault, more on WonKyu side tho. I honestly want then to find other partners that complements them.
