This drama isnt bad... everyone acted well even supporting roles... the director is definitely a big no no. Ml and fl did nothing wrong their chemistry was good. I cant wait for BSE and ZYR new drama

It isn't her acting that is the problem. People just need to blame someone so it is always the women taking the blame and hit... i don't understand why always blame the women? She can definitely act and tbh if her acting was not okay, shouldn't the director say something? Obviously she did what was being told and that is her job as an actress it isn't her fault. I'd say the writer, director, and editor. It was choppy editing.

LOL yea, so you can watch POJ and see that in that drama finally Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei is suddenly better than all their previous dramas is because of that one director. In this case, it is all due to that director. So if that director was to direct this drama, it will be 100% better. Then go back and compare Zhang Linghe previous dramas and you will see the difference.

Its the director the same director that does Blossom starring Meng Ziyi and Li Yunrui so... director really matters and tbh there is nothing wrong with generation to generation. They acted well its just the editing and production ot got nothing to do with ml and fl flopping the drama. After Blossom, even I can't really see Meng Ziyi doing well anywhere else though I am still anticipating all her dramas. She looks really pretty in costume dramas. If this drama has that same director, i guarantee u, this drama will be better

This novel its hard because it is really based off of female lead so... that is the reason why she got more screen time. Women are just possessive of handsome men i know he is handsome but u guys r too possessive of ZYR

Now this makes me can't wait for BSE next historical drama with WHY ^-^ i hope to see more of ZYR in historical dramas but dang... thinking of the way they recycle actors and actresses i really don't like it lol... by the time they retired they would kissed over hundreds of female leads 😆 🤣 😆 and male leads (general to all actors and actresses)

Ok seems like they might try to wrap up the current generation and show more stories of the first generation... hmmm sounds like an opposite move usually its from the beginning instead but this drama is putting it til the end i guess thats why its cut.... all in all cant wait to know the full story of CPS and LYR character

I don't think anyone actually understand Cai Zhao. Everything she experienced with MQY was new, no one was able to outsmart her or she has never been taken advantage of in her whole life because she is a bright and smart kid. Her expressions for widening eyes most of the time with MQY was because he made her feel in a way she never felt before. Forget her real agr, this drama she represent someone whose becoming of age and is very young and new to the world. Going through so many things with MQY obviously moved her. He slowly became a big part of her life without her realizing it. As she learn more about good and evil sects, she realized they aren't that much different from each other. She is stuck in between choosing to do what her aunt wants her to do or follow her heart. Originally, as u can see first time when her fiance showed up, she seems happy he was there like she was even willing to marry him even saying its not a bad deal... but afterwards, she hesitated on the marriage because she is getting a mind of her own. She doubt the 6 sects and the evil sects. On one side her master trying to remind her not to mess with the evil sect and on the other side, she got to know the demon sect was not actually that bad and esp growing feelings for MQY. She tried hard to resist that feeling but he just kept popping up it making it hard for her. She is really in between because she also doesn't want to jeopardize her parents and village as well. She tried to push him out, but failed to do so. She is stuck in between. I cant wait for the episode she is going to finally make up her mind and go with how she feels ^-^ though she did hurt MQY a few times, she never overdo it and never really hurt or try to kill him. This girl is stuck in between two rocks and she definitely does not and will not let anyone manipulate her let alone her master. If her master overdo something going against her conscience, she will not sit still and watch.

Dont look at the rating mdl rating is probably gna be higher than douban so be happy lol be your own judge this rating means nothing in china.

Verg good actor... as much as i hate her master i liked him in rookie agent rouge with zly 😆 very good actor i believe the mask man is MQY uncle and not the father but i believe someone uses the mask man identity to slaughter the sect in front of her auntie to cause misunderstandings, it could be his twin or the master since he was jealous. Who knows....m those previous generation left a whole bunch of mess behind for the current to clean up 😆

In the dramas they dont state anything but in the novel, they actually spent a lot of times together in the sect.... the drama time jump a lot alot thats why some ppl find it confusing. And tbh i am enjoying this because it is romance heavy and not focusing a lot of other things to drag the romance or as filler

Tbh i prefer any expression over wooden expression imagine he did all that to her and she just kept a straight face with no emotions lmao. I watched the dramas and thought her eyes expression was alright she is surprised was never treated or taken advantage of her whole life so when ML arrive and treated her flirting with her acting strangely attached and trying to make her stay i felt her acting is on point and when she is angry she gets angry. She is still just supposedly still be young and naive what do they expect? A kid to act like she been through it all in her late 30s? She supposed to act like a whole adult grown up in 20s to 30s? Now that dont make sense.

So basically ppl got problems... they dont like older actresses acting young but wants younger actresses to act like they full grown adult in the late 20s.

TBH, she doesn't care... if you watched carefully, she really doesn't care... she doesn't even care about the guy at all and you're wrong about one thing... she isn't the strongest fighter of 6 sects lol just because she learned from her auntie, doesn't mean she is the best fighter. There was no indication she was the strongest fighter, can you please tell me which episode? And also, she does not care about the position of her fiance household. She is actually struggling she is growing up and grown to have a mind of her own. She was told to fulfill one thing, but then had developed a mind of her own (in this case she is falling for MQY) but is stuck in choosing. No need to throw dirt at her just because you doesn't understand. She isn't someone to act willfully on her own and throwing tantrum like Lingbo. She has backbone and is smart that does not throw tantrum if you like brainless female lead that talks before thinking then I think you're in the wrong place.

In the novel, MQY knew what kind of person Cai Zhao is. He planned meticulously for her fiance to break off the engagement himself. He never wants Cai Zhao to hate him so he have to do things that wouldn't upset her that's how much he love Cai Zhao.

But to each their own opinions. If you see, she was not even in the mood for marriage she wants to prolong her freedom she clearly doesn't like him no feeling whatsoever... imagine you marry someone you don't like or love, would you even care if they got a lover? Nope, just don't bother me would be my answer if I really have to go through with such marriage lol
