It would be so awkward if I went back to those comment sections. They were so bold with their baseless accusations and assumptions. Their fanbase is big, and the hate against Esther was even bigger. They even wrote long paragraphs to argue with me and fabricated a baseless document as “proof.” When I asked for the exact case or document number so I could verify it on the official website, they couldn’t provide one.

They kept insisting that Esther was “banned” and that her dramas would never air. Yet one by one, the dramas in her backlog have been released.
Then they claimed she wouldn’t be able to get any new endorsements because she was supposedly “banned.” But she has continued to announce new endorsements.
When she joined a new cast, the rumor changed again. Suddenly, people claimed she had paid her way into the project. And then she joined another cast. At some point, those claims just stop making sense.
I don’t understand that line of thinking. Why would an established actress have to “pay to work”? Acting is her profession, not a hobby. If there were credible evidence of something that serious, it would likely become a major industry story rather than remain an internet rumor.
That’s why I don’t like judging someone based on repeated speculation. Rumors can change every few months, but I’d rather look at what actually happens than believe every new narrative that appears online.
Their right brain and left brain keep fighting each other. Every once in a while, they change their narrative.
What surprises me the most is how the whole fandom seems to live in an information bubble. They all say the same things, keep repeating the same rumors, and act like repeating them over and over makes them true.

What I still don’t understand is why so many articles suddenly started claiming that Esther was behind someone else’s downfall or even behind hate campaigns.
Where is the evidence?
Why were these kinds of articles appearing everywhere across marketing accounts and on multiple platforms? They just kept repeating the same accusations without providing any proof.
It’s frustrating because once a narrative is repeated often enough, a lot of people start believing it’s true even when there isn’t clear evidence to support it.
That’s what bothered me the most. I wasn’t asking people to blindly defend her—I was asking why such serious claims were being spread so widely without reliable proof.

From what I’ve seen, a lot of people seem to have a prejudice against Esther. They criticize her voice ,her attitude, and her personality, constantly insisting that everything about her is “fake.”
If they really don’t like her, why can’t they just leave her alone? Instead, they go into her comment sections or comment on videos about her just to leave nasty remarks. It’s honestly so irritating.
For a long time, I tried not to care because I thought, “Some people are just like that.” So I ignored it.
But things changed around last August. The negativity reached a completely different level. From my perspective, the amount of coordinated-looking criticism became much more noticeable. Even as a none fan, it felt impossible not to notice how intense it had become.

Sometimes I wish I knew nothing about all this messy fandom drama and could just wait for the drama to air like I used to. It honestly felt so much better back then.
I miss the days when I was simply a C-drama fan whose biggest question was, “When will the drama be released?”
Getting deeper into C-entertainment has been such a letdown at times. It can be emotionally draining to constantly see fan wars, rumors, and people with completely different ways of thinking.
And seeing all the hate campaigns and negativity surrounding Esther just makes me think, “What is going on?”
I really miss enjoying dramas for what they are instead of getting caught up in all the noise.
But since I’m already in this mess, I might as well make one thing clear: I’ll defend Esther Yu when I see people spreading misinformation or twisting the facts about her.
I don’t expect everyone to like her, and that’s completely fine. But I do have a problem with people making up narratives or treating rumors as facts just to attack her.

I don’t pay attention to this because they don’t bring it outside weibo so I don’t know and I believe there ain’t much compare to Esther . because there are so many people who has prejudice towards Esther regarding her voice , her personality and her rich family so it’s so easy to join the trend and hate on her and mostly if there is a hate trend there are so many fandoms would gang up on her . Also about their gege joining the cast his fans literally brings it outside weibo and post it everywhere. some fan site already posted that they won’t support this drama because he really doesn’t want to ( according to fans ) and actor himself never makes a clear statement about it . let’s the fans make their own assumptions.
