Did they crop role of Li zhong qian ??? I don't like that cause they have a great sibling bond in the drama and I was hoping to see in drama as well. I love the novel and don't think crossing out their siblings bond of killing Li zhong qian in the early episodes will do any Good. I loved how in the drama zhao'er planned to Sue Gu De Zhao and he was dismissed from office on contrary in the novel zhao'er didn't do anything but only moved Song miao hua because he was the true culprit and gu lan and song was only catalyst. To me Gu de Zhao was the root of all the cause and felt relieved when concubine song and ji han confronted each other and we see his true colors. He enjoyed his twilight years peacefully in the novel after traumatizing all his wife and children but in the drama he got his karma . I find it very satisfying

Drama is binge worthy. If you have watched the rise of ning drama or novel and adored Lu Jia Xue and yining cp , you will love their chemistry in this drama. Gu lan was very manipulative and some signs are still showing upto episode 6 . How she talks in circles. I hope they give Gu lan a different ending and not stereotypic evil half sibling. I want to see her as human and not character written by anyone with her own thoughts and feelings.
